Without doubt, acting is a profession that dwells more on beauty than brains. It is not that the profession is full of dullards, but the fact remains that beauty and physical endowments especially with women rate higher. So it is surprising that despite being beautiful with good shape, some of them are still single even at a matured age of 40. Forget the fact that some of them were once married, the point is that they are not under any man they could regard as their better half. In this special write up, Trezzy Blog unveils many of them.

Rita Dominic: There is no prize for anyone who predicted the name of this actress to be number one on the list. This beautiful actress has been linked with many men in the past, but none of the relationships was eventful. There was even a time it was rumored she dated Nollywood bad boy, Jim Iyke. This also came to nothing as both of them denied the affair. And for now the search for 'Mr. Right' continues for Rita who is in her early 40s. Who knows, she could be lucky in 2016 to find the bone of her bones.

Kate Henshaw: This actress has been married more than once, yet she is still single; maybe she is searching for what one cannot not ascertain. Her second marriage to her British husband crashed few years ago. No doubt, Kate is one of the few actresses whose love affair was always celebrated in the media especially by paparazzis. Her love affair with Sammy Oposun was well pronounced. Give it to her, she still looks beautiful and attractive despite been in her mid-40s

Bimbo AkintolaShe is one actress who never feels shy or ashamed of telling those who care to listen that she is singleand not desperate for marriage. Her relationship with Dede Mabiaku, one time Fela Anikulapo band boy, was never a secret as journalist fed on it. What many people could not understand about this actress who came to limelight in 1999 when she acted alongside Richard Mofe Damijo in a film titled "Out Of Bonds" is why she is not bordered by her single status. At 44, one could not understand why this Theatre Arts graduate from University of Ibadan, is comfortable with her status as a "SingleLady"

Genevieve NnajiIf there is one actress living or dead that has been linked with many men in Nollywood, that actress is no other person than this Mbaise, Imo State born actress, Genevieve Nnaji. She has been linked with virtually everybody that matters in all sectors even to the presidency, when she was once romantically linked with former vice-president, Abubakar Atiku.

Not only that, she was also linked with D, Banj, a popular hip-hop artiste. But the irony of it is that, she has not been able to pin any man down as her 'Mr. Right'. In her late 30s (she will be 37, this year), whenever she is asked about her marital status, she calls it a no-go area

Iyabo OjoBeautiful Yoruba actress, Iyabo Ojo though came to the industry as a single mother, she has not been able to settle down with any man. She was once romantically linked with Muka Ray, a romance she always denied. Though in her late 30s, this petite actress has not shown any sign of her settling down with any man.

Lizy AnjorinDespite her controversy altitude, Lizzy Anjorin still remains one of the most successful actresses in Yoruba sector of Nollywood. Now living in Lekki- Ajah area in Lagos, this Badagry, Lagos State born actress has courted more controversy than any other Yoruba actress, yet she still remainssingle. Though she has a grown up daughter (Ibukun), Lizzy is not ready to settle down with any man, even at the ripe age of thirty something

Moji OlaiyaIt took her years before she could admit that her second marriage to Atinsola hit the rock. Not even all the rumousr could sway her to admit that. But when tatafo finally broke the news, she had to come up with the truth. Anyway, ever since the confession, she has remained single and instead lives her life the way she wants.

Aishat AbimbolaTall, beautiful and sexy actress, Omoge Campus, as Aishat is passionately called is one of the actressesin Nollywood who is ever blunt to any issue, without minding whose ox is gored. Her being single could be her weapon to fight for what she thinks is right. She walked out on her previous marriage on principle about what she described as not too good for her status and her level. This principled actress is not short of marriage proposals, but one cannot pin-point why she still remains single even at 40.

Monalisa ChindaHer marriage to Nzeribe could not see the light of the day as both parties parted ways in a very controversial manner. And now this beautiful actress who is known for passionate acting is in the "Market" again in search of Mr. Right. She has been keeping mute on her next step as far as marriage is concerned. The question is, is Monalisa who is in her 40s short of men or just taking her time?

Ronke Odusanya—Her sojourn into the Nigeria movie industry, especially in Yoruba genre, did not come to many people as a surprise as she has the talent coupled with her sexy shape that could make a man to take a second look at her, but why all these have failed to get her noticed by the opposite sex is what people especially her fans can't   understand.

Dayo Amusa: She has been linked with so many society men, yet no one could be ascribed to her as her man. There was a time she was once rumoured to be dating Wasiu Ayinde Marshal. Not always far from controversy, this Ijebu Ogun State born actress is not ready to entertain any question that concerns her marital status; 'That is my private life', she will insist.

Funke Akindele: Jenifer has she is popularly called, found herself in this list when her celebrated marriage to Moruf did not last more than two years on the allegation of incompatibility between both parties. Funke Akindele seems unconcerned by her single status, as she is enjoying herself despite the rumours trailing her and a society business man based in USA.

Abiodun OkeowoThis mother of two who is reputed to have the most sexiest shape in Yoruba film industry is still singledespite her beauty and talent. Though she is not complaining about her status as she claims she is enjoying herself

Lola Alao: She has gone through two failed marriages in the last nine years, and now she is single again after her latest break-up with her America-based lover. The 45 years old, Ebira, Kogi State born actress whose performance in 'Ale Ariwo', a film by Wemimo in 2003 which shot her into people's consciousness is not in a haste to rush back to the mucky waters of marriage; not after her two bitter experiences.

Bukky Wright: There is no need of delving into her past in the last 10 years, but this Abeokuta, Ogun State has seen it all. At 48, Bukola Ajoke Wright has never been short of choice, but why her marriages often hit the rocks should be a concern to this mother of two grown up boys who shot into limelight via her scintillating performance in 1999 for her role in 'Saworo –Ide'.

Steph Nora-Okererke: Give it to her, the talent and beauty but all these combined has not been able to get her, her choice of man and so still remain at single. Though not worried by her singlestatus even at 40, but she still believed she will get married when she is ready. Now wearing a new look, may be that could get men notice of her beauty

Lilian Bach: If beauty and good shape is criteria to have a partner, Lilian would have gotten married many times over. However this Delta born actress who speaks Yoruba fluently is not bothered by her single status even at 40 -something, "I am not worried about my being single" she was quoted recently by an online publication

Ayo Adesanya: Her love story Goriola Hassan was well written such that when it crashed like a badly arranged pack of cards, it was a shock to many of her fans. The reason for the crash was surrounded with a lot of controversies. While her husband Goriola claimed he called it off with the relationship, Ayo said she could not continue the relationship, but failed to give reasons. But that apart, this Ijebu Ogun State born actress who is in her 40s has not given marriage any shot since.
