A 20-year-old female inmate of the Aba Federal Prison, Blessing Azubuike, has given birth to a bouncing baby boy while in custody.
A source who revealed this to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) said that Azubuike and her child were in good condition even as both of them remained in the prison facility.
Last year, Blessing was arraigned before a Magistrate court sitting at Osisioma Ngwa after she allegedly conspired with a 20-year-old man named Chibuisi Emmanuel Nnaukwu, and others still at large, to kidnap two kids - three year old Chinwendu Divine and a teenager Miss Ezinne Echeka, aged 16.
The abduction took place in September 2015 at No. 41 Umuada Street, Over Rail Aba,
The detainee was arraigned In November 2015 for child stealing. One of their victims, Ezinne Echeka, had reportedly been released and reunited with her family.
