Brazil confirmed that Dani Alves will be missing in the World Cup

Brazil back Dani Alves will miss the World Championship. The Brazilian Football Confederation has confirmed in its statement that his knee injury makes it “impossible to call Dani Alves for the time of preparation, friendly preparation and then the World Championship.”

35-year-old was injured on Tuesday in the finals of the French Cup playing for the winner of Paris Saint-Germain.

The injury will betray him for at least three weeks. Brazil’s first match in Russia will be on June 17 against Switzerland.

Alves played in Brazil in the last two World Cups and since his debut in 2006 has 107 teams.

Meanwhile, Neymar admitted that he was still worried about missing the World Cup due to his broken right leg that he suffered in March.

In an interview published on Friday, an attacker from Brazil and Paris, Saint-Germain, said treatment is working “but he always gets worried about the injury.”

“I need to lose this fear as quickly as possible to come to the world championship,” Neymar said in a YouTube interview. “At first we hesitate to make a complete move.
