PDP Presidential aspirant and the leader of the talakawas Dr. Sule Lamido CON, has led his campaign team to meet with former President General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (Rtd).
The meeting was part of his consultative meeting with former leaders, critical stakeholders, NWC, party officials, elders of the country concerning his presidential ambition in 2019. The meeting was held at the Minna Hilltop residence of the former President in Niger State.
In a statement issued by Lamido's new media aide Mansur Ahmed, said: " the meeting, with former President discussed extensively about the presidential ambition of Sule Lamido. In the meeting which lasted over an hour, Lamido explained that his visit to ‘my leader’ was to paid a homage, to brief him about his nationwide consultation, to seek for his prayer, blessing, advice and to learn more from his vast experiences.
Mansur, said. Lamido and IBB discussed the imperative of working together to ensure that Nigeria remains a safe, stable and united country which deserves to be save from those amateurs (APC). “We generally talked about the general well-being of Nigeria. It is of interest to all of us that Nigeria remains a stable and united country where Muslims and Christians can live.”
In his remark, former President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida said..
"To me Sule Nigeria will be great with you as its lresident because you are a student of late Malam Aminu Kano who sees and perceives lives as struggle for the emancipation of the common man".
IBB added..
"Nigeria needs leadership because the current leadership has lost focus, vision and courage to lead Nigeria to the promise land.Today in Nigeria brother is killing brother, kidnapping, hunger is everywhere, you need to stand up and unite yourself to rescue Nigeria come 2019".
