Unknown gunmen on Wednesday night abducted former Minister of State for Education, Senator Iyabo Anisulowo, at Igbogila area of Ogun State.
She was reportedly kidnapped on her way from the farm along side her security aides at about 8.30p.m.
Confirming the incident, Ogun State Police spokesman Mr. Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said: “Yes. We have the report that the senator was kidnapped this evening by some armed men.
“The Commissioner of Police Abdulmajid Ali has dispatched teams to the area and we are optimistic that the Senator will be rescued very soon.”
Vigilante groups have also joined in the search.
