Barely 24 hours,after the Fact-finding visit of the Vice President of Nigeria,Prof.Yemi Osibanjo to Delta state(Niger-Delta),and received by the Delta state governor,Sen.Dr.Ifeanyi OKOWA,and Deltan in all walks of life,we were taken aback,when we heard of the pipeline bombing.
This is an act,to make the governor of Delta state look not capable of handling situations,and it is not unconnected to the hand works of the opposition,seeing that the FG and Delta state government are trying to resolve the issues concerning militancy amicably,through DIALOUGE and actions that will breed development to Delta state in particular,and Niger Delta in general.
We strongly condemn this act,and we are solidly behind the governor of Delta state and the FG to amicably resolve the issues of militancy,we can't continue to destroy what belongs to us,degrading the land and water in our communities and say we are Niger-Deltans,it is time to actually give peace a chance,for DIALOUGE and development to come to our people and land.
