RCCG in Ekiti becomes a Region, get government's full support

Ekiti State governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has described the creation of a new region of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in the State as another sign of autonomy to the State.

The governor who likened the only region created by the Church this year to the creation of Ekiti which was the only one created from the South West 20 years ago commended the General Overseer of the Church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

Fayose while welcoming the Pioneer Pastor of the Region in the State, Pastor Goke Kuti to the Government House, noted that the gesture was another recognition to the state, noting that before the creation, people usually travel out of the State whenever there is any programme that has to do with region.

He promised to continue to support the church of God as he has been doing to the religious bodies in the state, noting that there is divine blessings attached to any service rendered to God.

Governor Fayose promised to personally mobilise people to a special programme scheduled for December where Pastor Adeboye will be Visiting Ado, Ikere and Ilawe for 2016  December's 'Let's Go-A-Fishing'.

Earlier, Pastor Goke Kuti notified the governor of creation of the new region as well as the coming of the General Overseer of the Church in December.

He described the return of Fayose to power the second time as a divine arrangement with a call on him to be prepared to achieve greater feat with assurance of the Prayer of the church for him.

He was accompanied on the Courtesy Visit by wife,Mrs Kuti, the Pastor in Charge of Province 1, Pastor Sesan Akinnawo and his wife, Ekiti Province 4, Pastor Tunde Adelusi and the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Kola Oluwawole who is a Pastor in the Church among others.
