The Managing Director, Nigerian Ports Authority, Hajiya Hadiza Bala Usman embarked on a 2-days visit on Wednesday to Rivers State to inspect the Port Harcourt Port Complex and the Onne Port.
During the visit, the NPA Team inspects facility at BUA Ports & Terminals LTD, the rehabilitation of the Rail network at the Port Harcourt Complex, the poorly managed Medical Center, Basket Building and tasked the Port Manager to present it in the 2017 budget. She also inspected the Dockyard, Bonny Channel Company and ended the first day with an interactive session with stakeholders in the Ports.
On Thursday, the MD and her team visited the Onne Port; commissions the 3.5MVA/33 IIKV substation connecting the Onne Port to National grid. Thereafter, Andrew Dawes, CEO INTELS, the largest terminal operators in Onne Port, takes the MD and her team round their facility. The MD and the Management Team were shown the new construction of Jetty Berth at FOT by INTELS. The Management of NPA also visited the Indorama Fertilizer Chemical Plant.
