Today's bible teaching: Make vows to the LORD your God and fulfill them; let all the neighboring lands bring gifts to the One to be feared.

Psalm 76
1
Psalm 76 For the director of music. With stringed instruments. A psalm of Asaph. A song.
1
In Judah God is known; his name is great in Israel.
2
His tent is in Salem, his dwelling place in Zion.
3
There he broke the flashing arrows, the shields and the swords, the weapons of war. Selah
4
You are resplendent with light, more majestic than mountains rich with game.
5
Valiant men lie plundered, they sleep their last sleep; not one of the warriors can lift his hands.
6
At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both horse and chariot lie still.
7
You alone are to be feared. Who can stand before you when you are angry?
8
From heaven you pronounced judgment, and the land feared and was quiet--
9
when you, O God, rose up to judge, to save all the afflicted of the land. Selah
10
Surely your wrath against men brings you praise, and the survivors of your wrath are restrained. [1]
11
Make vows to the LORD your God and fulfill them; let all the neighboring lands bring gifts to the One to be feared.
12
He breaks the spirit of rulers; he is feared by the kings of the earth.

See what a Nigerian lawyer did for a prisoner that has got people talking (Photos)

A Nigerian lawyer identified as Francis Saint Paul has melted hearts online after he helped freed a man wrongly accused of kidnapping. According to him, he met the man 3years ago while he was praying the rosary in prison. The man told him of his ordeal and he promised to help free him. Below is what he wrote....

'I went to the Magistrate court 3years ago to get a date and I saw this young man. He was crying and praying the rosary. I went and sat beside him and asked him why he was crying.
He kept on saying "I didn't do it, I didn't do it". He was remanded by the Magistrate on a count of kidnap and other related offenses. No complainant.

He told me his story. I believed him. I told him I'd take it up on pro bono. He laid there and started praying for me. I pushed for his matter to be charged at the High Court.
Today the 29th of November,2021, the Judge of the High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has confirmed he didn't do it and has declared him innocent. Discharged and Acquitted.

It can only be God. For the sake of God and Humanity'

See What A Nigerian Man Did To His Wife Because Of Alleged Infidelity (Photos)

A Nigerian man has brutalised his wife because of alleged infidelity. There was an argument between Mujidat and her husband Nurudeen due to alleged infidelity. Nurudeen brutalised his wife on the basis of allegations that his wife was involved in infidelity. She was transferred to a far clinic from their area around 1am while the husband begged the nurse to cover up the assault.

It was brutal that blood didn't stop oozing out from Mujidat's for hours. The injuries were severe that she was transferred to University College Hospital Sepeteri /UCH Ibadan for proper examination and test.

Mujidat, 30years old and mother of four is on the verge of losing her eyes because the doctor said the nerves seem to be affected and she needs quick attention. Her husband dropped her off and has refused to pay the initial deposit of N120k requested by the hospital. One of his friends deposited 50k.

Today's bible teaching: For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end

Psalm 48
1
Psalm 48 A song. A psalm of the Sons of Korah.
1
Great is the LORD, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, his holy mountain.
2
It is beautiful in its loftiness, the joy of the whole earth. Like the utmost heights of Zaphon [1] is Mount Zion, the [2] city of the Great King.
3
God is in her citadels; he has shown himself to be her fortress.
4
When the kings joined forces, when they advanced together,
5
they saw [her] and were astounded; they fled in terror.
6
Trembling seized them there, pain like that of a woman in labor.
7
You destroyed them like ships of Tarshish shattered by an east wind.
8
As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD Almighty, in the city of our God: God makes her secure forever. Selah
9
Within your temple, O God, we meditate on your unfailing love.
10
Like your name, O God, your praise reaches to the ends of the earth; your right hand is filled with righteousness.
11
Mount Zion rejoices, the villages of Judah are glad because of your judgments.
12
Walk about Zion, go around her, count her towers,
13
consider well her ramparts, view her citadels, that you may tell of them to the next generation.
14
For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end

Today's prayer: May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine upon us

Psalm 67
1
Psalm 67 For the director of music. With stringed instruments. A psalm. A song.
1
May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine upon us, Selah
2
that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations.
3
May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you.
4
May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the peoples justly and guide the nations of the earth. Selah
5
May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you.
6
Then the land will yield its harvest, and God, our God, will bless us.
7
God will bless us, and all the ends of the earth will fear him.

Today's bible teaching: The righteous will see and fear; they will laugh at him

      Psalm 52
      1
Psalm 52 For the director of music. A maskil [1] of David. When Doeg the Edomite had gone to Saul and told him: "David has gone to the house of Ahimelech."
      1
Why do you boast of evil, you mighty man? Why do you boast all day long, you who are a disgrace in the eyes of God?
      2
Your tongue plots destruction; it is like a sharpened razor, you who practice deceit.
      3
You love evil rather than good, falsehood rather than speaking the truth. Selah
      4
You love every harmful word, O you deceitful tongue!
      5
Surely God will bring you down to everlasting ruin: He will snatch you up and tear you from your tent; he will uproot you from the land of the living. Selah
      6
The righteous will see and fear; they will laugh at him, saying,
      7
"Here now is the man who did not make God his stronghold but trusted in his great wealth and grew strong by destroying others!"
      8
But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God's unfailing love for ever and ever.
      9
I will praise you forever for what you have done; in your name I will hope, for your name is good. I will praise you in the presence of your saints.

Today's bible teaching: For I said, "Do not let them gloat or exalt themselves over me when my foot slips

      Psalm 38
      1
Psalm 38 A psalm of David. A petition.
      1
O LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your wrath.
      2
For your arrows have pierced me, and your hand has come down upon me.
      3
Because of your wrath there is no health in my body; my bones have no soundness because of my sin.
      4
My guilt has overwhelmed me like a burden too heavy to bear.
      5
My wounds fester and are loathsome because of my sinful folly.
      6
I am bowed down and brought very low; all day long I go about mourning.
      7
My back is filled with searing pain; there is no health in my body.
      8
I am feeble and utterly crushed; I groan in anguish of heart.
      9
All my longings lie open before you, O Lord; my sighing is not hidden from you.
      10
My heart pounds, my strength fails me; even the light has gone from my eyes.
      11
My friends and companions avoid me because of my wounds; my neighbors stay far away.
      12
Those who seek my life set their traps, those who would harm me talk of my ruin; all day long they plot deception.
      13
      I am like a deaf man, who cannot hear, like a mute, who cannot open his mouth;
      14
I have become like a man who does not hear, whose mouth can offer no reply.
      15
I wait for you, O LORD; you will answer, O Lord my God.
      16
For I said, "Do not let them gloat or exalt themselves over me when my foot slips."
      17
For I am about to fall, and my pain is ever with me.
      18
I confess my iniquity; I am troubled by my sin.
      19
Many are those who are my vigorous enemies; those who hate me without reason are numerous.
      20
Those who repay my good with evil slander me when I pursue what is good.
      21
O LORD, do not forsake me; be not far from me, O my God.
      22
Come quickly to help me, O Lord my Savior.

Today's bible teaching: How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings

          Psalm 36
          1
Psalm 36 For the director of music. Of David the servant of the LORD.
          1
An oracle is within my heart concerning the sinfulness of the wicked: [1] There is no fear of God before his eyes.
          2
For in his own eyes he flatters himself too much to detect or hate his sin.
          3
The words of his mouth are wicked and deceitful; he has ceased to be wise and to do good.
          4
Even on his bed he plots evil; he commits himself to a sinful course and does not reject what is wrong.
          5
Your love, O LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.
          6
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the great deep. O LORD, you preserve both man and beast.
          7
How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find [2] refuge in the shadow of your wings.
          8
They feast on the abundance of your house; you give them drink from your river of delights.
          9
For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.
          10
Continue your love to those who know you, your righteousness to the upright in heart.
          11
May the foot of the proud not come against me, nor the hand of the wicked drive me away.
          12
See how the evildoers lie fallen-- thrown down, not able to rise!

Today's bible teaching: Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When God restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad

          Psalm 53
          1
Psalm 53 For the director of music. According to mahalath. [1] A maskil [2] of David.
          1
The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; there is no one who does good.
          2
God looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.
          3
Everyone has turned away, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.
          4
Will the evildoers never learn-- those who devour my people as men eat bread and who do not call on God?
          5
There they were, overwhelmed with dread, where there was nothing to dread. God scattered the bones of those who attacked you; you put them to shame, for God despised them.
          6
Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When God restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!

Today's bible teaching: Be merciful to me, O LORD, for I am in distress; my eyes grow weak with sorrow, my soul and my body with grief

          Psalm 31
          1
Psalm 31 For the director of music. A psalm of David.
          1
In you, O LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; deliver me in your righteousness.
          2
Turn your ear to me, come quickly to my rescue; be my rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me.
          3
Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me.
          4
Free me from the trap that is set for me, for you are my refuge.
          5
Into your hands I commit my spirit; redeem me, O LORD, the God of truth.
          6
I hate those who cling to worthless idols; I trust in the LORD.
          7
I will be glad and rejoice in your love, for you saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul.
          8
You have not handed me over to the enemy but have set my feet in a spacious place.
          9
Be merciful to me, O LORD, for I am in distress; my eyes grow weak with sorrow, my soul and my body with grief.
          10
My life is consumed by anguish and my years by groaning; my strength fails because of my affliction, [1] and my bones grow weak.
          11
Because of all my enemies, I am the utter contempt of my neighbors; I am a dread to my friends-- those who see me on the street flee from me.
          12
I am forgotten by them as though I were dead; I have become like broken pottery.
          13
For I hear the slander of many; there is terror on every side; they conspire against me and plot to take my life.
          14
But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, "You are my God."
          15
My times are in your hands; deliver me from my enemies and from those who pursue me.
          16
Let your face shine on your servant; save me in your unfailing love.
          17
Let me not be put to shame, O LORD, for I have cried out to you; but let the wicked be put to shame and lie silent in the grave. [2]
          18
Let their lying lips be silenced, for with pride and contempt they speak arrogantly against the righteous.
          19
How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in you.
          20
In the shelter of your presence you hide them from the intrigues of men; in your dwelling you keep them safe from accusing tongues.
          21
Praise be to the LORD, for he showed his wonderful love to me when I was in a besieged city.
          22
In my alarm I said, "I am cut off from your sight!" Yet you heard my cry for mercy when I called to you for help.
          23
Love the LORD, all his saints! The LORD preserves the faithful, but the proud he pays back in full.
          24
Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD.

Today's bible teaching: Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

          Psalm 24
          1
Psalm 24 Of David. A psalm.
          1
          The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;
          2
for he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.
          3
Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place?
          4
He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false. [1]
          5
He will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God his Savior.
          6
Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, O God of Jacob. [2] Selah
          7
Lift up your heads, O you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
          8
Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
          9
Lift up your heads, O you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
          10
Who is he, this King of glory? The LORD Almighty-- he is the King of glory. Selah

Today's bible teaching: In the LORD I take refuge. How then can you say to me: "Flee like a bird to your mountain

          Psalm 11
          1
Psalm 11 For the director of music. Of David.
          1
In the LORD I take refuge. How then can you say to me: "Flee like a bird to your mountain.
          2
For look, the wicked bend their bows; they set their arrows against the strings to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart.
          3
When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do [1] ?"
          4
The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD is on his heavenly throne. He observes the sons of men; his eyes examine them.
          5
The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked [2] and those who love violence his soul hates.
          6
On the wicked he will rain fiery coals and burning sulfur; a scorching wind will be their lot.
          7
For the LORD is righteous, he loves justice; upright men will see his face.

Today's bible teaching: "Because of the oppression of the weak and the groaning of the needy, I will now arise," says the LORD. "I will protect them from those who malign them."

          Psalm 12
          1
Psalm 12 For the director of music. According to sheminith. [1] A psalm of David.
          1
Help, LORD, for the godly are no more; the faithful have vanished from among men.
          2
Everyone lies to his neighbor; their flattering lips speak with deception.
          3
May the LORD cut off all flattering lips and every boastful tongue
          4
that says, "We will triumph with our tongues; we own our lips [2] --who is our master?"
          5
"Because of the oppression of the weak and the groaning of the needy, I will now arise," says the LORD. "I will protect them from those who malign them."
          6
And the words of the LORD are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace of clay, purified seven times.
          7
O LORD, you will keep us safe and protect us from such people forever.
          8
The wicked freely strut about when what is vile is honored among men.

Today's prayer: Relent, O LORD! How long will it be? Have compassion on your servants.

          Psalm 90
          1
Psalm 90 A prayer of Moses the man of God.
          1
Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations.
          2
Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
          3
You turn men back to dust, saying, "Return to dust, O sons of men."
          4
For a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night.
          5
You sweep men away in the sleep of death; they are like the new grass of the morning--
          6
though in the morning it springs up new, by evening it is dry and withered.
          7
We are consumed by your anger and terrified by your indignation.
          8
You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence.
          9
All our days pass away under your wrath; we finish our years with a moan.
          10
The length of our days is seventy years-- or eighty, if we have the strength; yet their span [1] is but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away.
          11
Who knows the power of your anger? For your wrath is as great as the fear that is due you.
          12
Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
          13
Relent, O LORD! How long will it be? Have compassion on your servants.
          14
Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.
          15
Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen trouble.
          16
May your deeds be shown to your servants, your splendor to their children.
          17
May the favor [2] of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us-- yes, establish the work of our hands

Psalm 121 A song of ascents.
          1
I lift up my eyes to the hills-- where does my help come from?
          2
My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
          3
          He will not let your foot slip-- he who watches over you will not slumber;
          4
indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

Today's praises: I will sing of your love and justice; to you, O LORD, I will sing praise.

          Psalm 101
          1
Psalm 101 Of David. A psalm.
          1
I will sing of your love and justice; to you, O LORD, I will sing praise.
          2
I will be careful to lead a blameless life-- when will you come to me? I will walk in my house with blameless heart.
          3
I will set before my eyes no vile thing. The deeds of faithless men I hate; they will not cling to me.
          4
Men of perverse heart shall be far from me; I will have nothing to do with evil.
          5
Whoever slanders his neighbor in secret, him will I put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, him will I not endure.
          6
My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he whose walk is blameless will minister to me.
          7
No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence.
          8
Every morning I will put to silence all the wicked in the land; I will cut off every evildoer from the city of the LORD.

Today's prayer: Arise, O LORD, in your anger; rise up against the rage of my enemies. Awake, my God; decree justice

          Psalm 7
          1
Psalm 7 A shiggaion [1] of David, which he sang to the LORD concerning Cush, a Benjamite.
          1
O LORD my God, I take refuge in you; save and deliver me from all who pursue me,
          2
or they will tear me like a lion and rip me to pieces with no one to rescue me.
          3
O LORD my God, if I have done this and there is guilt on my hands--
          4
if I have done evil to him who is at peace with me or without cause have robbed my foe--
          5
then let my enemy pursue and overtake me; let him trample my life to the ground and make me sleep in the dust. Selah
          6
Arise, O LORD, in your anger; rise up against the rage of my enemies. Awake, my God; decree justice.
          7
          Let the assembled peoples gather around you. Rule over them from on high;
          8
let the LORD judge the peoples. Judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, according to my integrity, O Most High.
          9
O righteous God, who searches minds and hearts, bring to an end the violence of the wicked and make the righteous secure.
          10
My shield [2] is God Most High, who saves the upright in heart.
          11
God is a righteous judge, a God who expresses his wrath every day.
          12
If he does not relent, he [3] will sharpen his sword; he will bend and string his bow.
          13
He has prepared his deadly weapons; he makes ready his flaming arrows.
          14
He who is pregnant with evil and conceives trouble gives birth to disillusionment.
          15
He who digs a hole and scoops it out falls into the pit he has made.
          16
The trouble he causes recoils on himself; his violence comes down on his own head.
          17
I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

Today's bible teaching: My soul will boast in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice

           Psalm 34
          1
Psalm 34 Of David. When he pretended to be insane before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he left. [1]
          1
I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.
          2
My soul will boast in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice.
          3
Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together.
          4
I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.
          5
Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.
          6
This poor man called, and the LORD heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles.
          7
The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.
          8
Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
          9
Fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing.
          10
The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.
          11
Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
          12
Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days,
          13
keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies.
          14
Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
          15
          The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry;
          16
the face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.
          17
The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.
          18
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
          19
          A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all;
          20
he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.
          21
Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned.
          22
The LORD redeems his servants; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him

Today's bible teaching: Let the righteous rejoice in the LORD and take refuge in him; let all the upright in heart praise him!

          Psalm 64
          1
Psalm 64 For the director of music. A psalm of David.
          1
Hear me, O God, as I voice my complaint; protect my life from the threat of the enemy.
          2
Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked, from that noisy crowd of evildoers.
          3
They sharpen their tongues like swords and aim their words like deadly arrows.
          4
They shoot from ambush at the innocent man; they shoot at him suddenly, without fear.
          5
They encourage each other in evil plans, they talk about hiding their snares; they say, "Who will see them [1] ?"
          6
They plot injustice and say, "We have devised a perfect plan!" Surely the mind and heart of man are cunning.
          7
But God will shoot them with arrows; suddenly they will be struck down.
          8
He will turn their own tongues against them and bring them to ruin; all who see them will shake their heads in scorn.
          9
All mankind will fear; they will proclaim the works of God and ponder what he has done.
          10
Let the righteous rejoice in the LORD and take refuge in him; let all the upright in heart praise him!

Today's bible teaching:They who seek my life will be destroyed; they will go down to the depths of the earth

          Psalm 63
          1
Psalm 63 A psalm of David. When he was in the Desert of Judah.
          1
O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
          2
I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.
          3
Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.
          4
I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.
          5
My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you.
          6
On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night.
          7
Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings.
          8
My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.
          9
They who seek my life will be destroyed; they will go down to the depths of the earth.
          10
They will be given over to the sword and become food for jackals.
          11
But the king will rejoice in God; all who swear by God's name will praise him, while the mouths of liars will be silenced.

Today's praises: Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth

          Psalm 57
          1
Psalm 57 For the director of music. [To the tune of] "Do Not Destroy." Of David. A miktam. [1] When he had fled from Saul into the cave.
          1
Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me, for in you my soul takes refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed.
          2
I cry out to God Most High, to God, who fulfills [his purpose] for me.
          3
He sends from heaven and saves me, rebuking those who hotly pursue me; Selah God sends his love and his faithfulness.
          4
I am in the midst of lions; I lie among ravenous beasts-- men whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords.
          5
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.
          6
They spread a net for my feet-- I was bowed down in distress. They dug a pit in my path-- but they have fallen into it themselves. Selah
          7
My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music.
          8
Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.
          9
I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples.
          10
For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
          11
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.

Today's praises: Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy

          Psalm 47
          1
Psalm 47 For the director of music. Of the Sons of Korah. A psalm.
          1
Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy.
          2
How awesome is the LORD Most High, the great King over all the earth!
          3
He subdued nations under us, peoples under our feet.
          4
He chose our inheritance for us, the pride of Jacob, whom he loved. Selah
          5
God has ascended amid shouts of joy, the LORD amid the sounding of trumpets.
          6
Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises.
          7
For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm [1] of praise.
          8
God reigns over the nations; God is seated on his holy throne.
          9
The nobles of the nations assemble as the people of the God of Abraham, for the kings [2] of the earth belong to God; he is greatly exalted.

Today's bible teaching: The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD is enthroned as King forever.

          Psalm 29
          1
Psalm 29 A psalm of David.
          1
Ascribe to the LORD, O mighty ones, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
          2
Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of his [1] holiness.
          3
The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the LORD thunders over the mighty waters.
          4
The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic.
          5
The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; the LORD breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.
          6
He makes Lebanon skip like a calf, Sirion [2] like a young wild ox.
          7
The voice of the LORD strikes with flashes of lightning.
          8
The voice of the LORD shakes the desert; the LORD shakes the Desert of Kadesh.
          9
The voice of the LORD twists the oaks [3] and strips the forests bare. And in his temple all cry, "Glory!"
          10
The LORD sits [4] enthroned over the flood; the LORD is enthroned as King forever.
          11
The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace.

Today's bible teaching: Make vows to the LORD your God and fulfill them; let all the neighboring lands bring gifts to the One to be feared

           Psalm 76

Today's bible teaching: Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you

          Psalm 32
          1
          Psalm 32 Of David. A maskil. [1]
          1
Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.
          2
Blessed is the man whose sin the LORD does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit.
          3
When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.
          4
For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. Selah
          5
Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD"-- and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah
          6
Therefore let everyone who is godly pray to you while you may be found; surely when the mighty waters rise, they will not reach him.
          7
You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah
          8
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.
          9
Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you.
          10
Many are the woes of the wicked, but the LORD's unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in him.
          11
Rejoice in the LORD and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart!

          Psalm 61
          1
Psalm 61 For the director of music. With stringed instruments. Of David.
          1
Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer.
          2
From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
          3
For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe.
          4
I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings. Selah
          5
For you have heard my vows, O God; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.
          6
Increase the days of the king's life, his years for many generations.
          7
May he be enthroned in God's presence forever; appoint your love and faithfulness to protect him.
          8
Then will I ever sing praise to your name and fulfill my vows day after day.

Today's prayer: Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer

          Psalm 61

Today's praises: Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens

              Psalm 68
              1
Psalm 68 For the director of music. Of David. A psalm. A song.
              1
May God arise, may his enemies be scattered; may his foes flee before him.
              2
As smoke is blown away by the wind, may you blow them away; as wax melts before the fire, may the wicked perish before God.
              3
But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful.
              4
Sing to God, sing praise to his name, extol him who rides on the clouds [1] -- his name is the LORD-- and rejoice before him.
              5
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.
              6
God sets the lonely in families, [2] he leads forth the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.
              7
When you went out before your people, O God, when you marched through the wasteland, Selah
              8
the earth shook, the heavens poured down rain, before God, the One of Sinai, before God, the God of Israel.
              9
You gave abundant showers, O God; you refreshed your weary inheritance.
              10
Your people settled in it, and from your bounty, O God, you provided for the poor.
              11
The Lord announced the word, and great was the company of those who proclaimed it:
              12
"Kings and armies flee in haste; in the camps men divide the plunder.
              13
Even while you sleep among the campfires, [3] the wings of [my] dove are sheathed with silver, its feathers with shining gold."
              14
When the Almighty [4] scattered the kings in the land, it was like snow fallen on Zalmon.
              15
The mountains of Bashan are majestic mountains; rugged are the mountains of Bashan.
              16
Why gaze in envy, O rugged mountains, at the mountain where God chooses to reign, where the LORD himself will dwell forever?
              17
The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands; the Lord [has come] from Sinai into his sanctuary.
              18
When you ascended on high, you led captives in your train; you received gifts from men, even from [5] the rebellious-- that you, [6] O LORD God, might dwell there.
              19
Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. Selah
              20
Our God is a God who saves; from the Sovereign LORD comes escape from death.
              21
Surely God will crush the heads of his enemies, the hairy crowns of those who go on in their sins.
              22
The Lord says, "I will bring them from Bashan; I will bring them from the depths of the sea,
              23
that you may plunge your feet in the blood of your foes, while the tongues of your dogs have their share."
              24
Your procession has come into view, O God, the procession of my God and King into the sanctuary.
              25
In front are the singers, after them the musicians; with them are the maidens playing tambourines.
              26
Praise God in the great congregation; praise the LORD in the assembly of Israel.
              27
There is the little tribe of Benjamin, leading them, there the great throng of Judah's princes, and there the princes of Zebulun and of Naphtali.
              28
Summon your power, O God [7] ; show us your strength, O God, as you have done before.
              29
Because of your temple at Jerusalem kings will bring you gifts.
              30
Rebuke the beast among the reeds, the herd of bulls among the calves of the nations. Humbled, may it bring bars of silver. Scatter the nations who delight in war.
              31
Envoys will come from Egypt; Cush [8] will submit herself to God.
              32
Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth, sing praise to the Lord, Selah
              33
to him who rides the ancient skies above, who thunders with mighty voice.
              34
Proclaim the power of God, whose majesty is over Israel, whose power is in the skies.
              35
You are awesome, O God, in your sanctuary; the God of Israel gives power and strength to his people. Praise be to God!

Today's bible teaching: Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever

              Psalm 23
              1
Psalm 23 A psalm of David.
              1
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
              2
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
              3
he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
              4
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, [1] I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
              5
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
              6
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever

Today's bible teaching: The king is enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord

              Psalm 45
              1
Psalm 45 For the director of music. To [the tune of] "Lilies." Of the Sons of Korah. A maskil. [1] A wedding song.
              1
My heart is stirred by a noble theme as I recite my verses for the king; my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer.
              2
You are the most excellent of men and your lips have been anointed with grace, since God has blessed you forever.
              3
Gird your sword upon your side, O mighty one; clothe yourself with splendor and majesty.
              4
In your majesty ride forth victoriously in behalf of truth, humility and righteousness; let your right hand display awesome deeds.
              5
Let your sharp arrows pierce the hearts of the king's enemies; let the nations fall beneath your feet.
              6
Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.
              7
You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.
              8
All your robes are fragrant with myrrh and aloes and cassia; from palaces adorned with ivory the music of the strings makes you glad.
              9
Daughters of kings are among your honored women; at your right hand is the royal bride in gold of Ophir.
              10
Listen, O daughter, consider and give ear: Forget your people and your father's house.
              11
The king is enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord.
              12
The Daughter of Tyre will come with a gift, [2] men of wealth will seek your favor.
              13
All glorious is the princess within [her chamber]; her gown is interwoven with gold.
              14
In embroidered garments she is led to the king; her virgin companions follow her and are brought to you.
              15
They are led in with joy and gladness; they enter the palace of the king.
              16
Your sons will take the place of your fathers; you will make them princes throughout the land.
              17
I will perpetuate your memory through all generations; therefore the nations will praise you for ever and ever.
