It was all fun and laughter as the Commission hosted the 22nd Edition of the Consumer Town Hall Meeting in Effurun, Warri, Delta State on October 20, 2016. The theme of the event was "Information & Education as a Catalyst for Consumer Protection". This is in continuation of the Commission's drive to educate telecom consumers adequately so they make informed choices of telecom services and products.
Dr. Joesph Atoyebi, Deputy- Director, Consumer Affairs Bureau-NCC, represented the Director, Mr. Abdullahi Maikano. The Consumer Town Hall meeting seeks to eductae telecom consumers and other stakeholders on contemporary issues generating interest in the industry and also serves as a feedback mechanism for the Commission in making regulatory intervention for the benefit of the consumers and the Service providers as well as the industry as a whole.
Consumers were also entertained with jokes to drive home the message and agree with the local parlance which says-WARRI NO DEY CARRY LAST.
