Governor Ortom's convoy was today involved in accident on its way back from Zaki-Biam where gunmen attacked residents yesterday.
An oncoming vehicle, Carina Two, left its lane and hit the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, bus which was on Governor Samuel Ortom's convoy. No life was lost in the incident.However,one occupant of the Carina car sustained serious head injuries and was taken to hospital on the directive of the Governor. The State NUJ Chairman,Comrade Kris Atsaka who was in the bus sustained minor injuries.The incident occurred around 4:30pm between Abakwa and Adi in Buruku Local Government Area.
