Below is a photo of British Colonial forces of the 11th East African Division (composed of soldiers from present-day Nigeria, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Malawi and Tanzania) and Indian soldiers of the Fourteenth Army cross the Chindwin River by ferry before moving towards the village of Shwegyin during the Burma Campaign in pursuit of Japanese forces.
