According to a club member, late Chief Omeoga ordered for two cartons of beer shortly after the game for everyone, then went to relax on the court. Unknowing to his friends, he had slumped.
By the time they noticed, they rushed him to the hospital around the area but it was almost too late. He gave up while doctors were trying to revive him.
His death has also been confirmed by the PDP Publicity Secretary, Abia State, Chief Don Ubani, who described it as unfortunate.
