The Enugu state command of the Nigeria Police Force through its operatives of the Trans Ekulu Division have begun an indepth investigations into the activities that led to the alleged constant torture/abuse of a 14 year old boy identified as one KELECHI GOODLUCK OKEKE by his father identified also as one Chinedu Okeke who is said to be living at MARY EMMANUEL Street,New GRA Trans Ekulu Enugu south East Nigeria with a view to bringing perpetrators to book.It was gathered that the arrest of Chinedu Okeke became possible following intelligence report gathered by the police operatives who stormed the residence of Chinedu Okeke on 15/3/17 and found his son Kelechi Goodluck Okeke tied with rope after allegedly being inflicted with various categories of injuries all over the body by the father under the guise of disciplining hisson.
It was further gathered that Chinedu Okeke is always in this habit of subjected the son whom he claimed is stubborn to various inhuman treatment of kneeling on the stone with his hands tied together and massive flogging with wires and other dangerous objects of Kelechi his son thereby leaving the entire body shattered with injuries under the guise of making him to conform to acceptable norms and becoming discipline.Following the rescue of little Kelechi with injuries and the arrest of the said father,facts emerged that Kelechis mother is not living with the father although there appears to be unresolved marital issues with both parents which left the little boy in the hands of the father.
Further gathering revealed that Kelechis father is however leaving with a woman with four kids belonging to a certain pastor in Enugu who has abandoned the pastor over a yet to be established issue and now Kelechis father and in that process allegedly turn the little boy to slave and at times with several and severe inhuman treatment.
According to the rescued boy,for the period of one month now,he has been undergoing this kind of inhuman treatment with his entire body seriously battered and shattered with wire whips.The father on his own part is not denying the act but is blaming the entire situation to act of devil although he maintained that the essence was to discipline the child whom he accused of being stubborn and indiscipline.
