The best graduating student at the 2016 combined convocation ceremony of Imo State University IMSU,Dr Chigozie Ekenze,broke down in tears after Gov. Rochas gave him N13.7million for further studies.The first class graduate was presented with the money to enable him proceed for his Post Graduate Program in London.
The optometrist lost his dad shortly after gaining admission into IMSU.However,the free education given to Imo indigenes by Gov. Okorocha enabled him complete his studies in IMSU.
While receiving the cheque from Mrs Ugo Nneoma Rochas Okorocha,he knelt down and broke down in tears.He cried uncontrollably for several minutes with overwhelming joy from family and friends.
It should be recalled that Governor Okorocha had earlier granted hin automatic employment as lecturer in IMSU.
