“If you hear a voice within you say 'you cannot paint,' then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced.”
This is exactly the story of Blessing
It seemed as if the universe was against her.No surviving biological parents. No relations except the other people she had come to know as friends and relatives in the motherless home.
It would seem that every voice she heard , whispered to her “you cannot paint”.But God had other plans for her.
Through her , the motherless home where she was ,was about to be blessed.
They were to become the fathered and mothered by a man and his wife through her.
True to her name , she became a path of blessing to the lives of others.
13/04/2019, Blessing started another phase of painting in her life. She got admitted to study a double honors course at the prestigious University of Abuja .
Her voice over the phone was that filled with joy and gladness as she said to him “Daddy, please I want you to be there with me as I matriculate tomorrow”.
Who would refuse such an offer ?
So he got ready and called his friends and invited them to accompany him to attend the matriculation of his daughter as he had come to call her over the years.
Honorable Chris Emeka Azubogu was on ground to add to the colors of the occasion as Chief Olisa Metuh beamed with smiles as he stood by his “daughter” as she was formally admitted into the university to start a new phase of a blessed life’s journey.
Her smiles reminded me of my favorite quote “Education is the passport to the world”
To blessing, I’d say, hope your dreams take you to the corners of your smiles, to the highest of your hopes, to the windows of your opportunities, and to the most special places your heart has ever known. Sparkle your sparkle wherever you go.
