Psalm 8

1: Psalm 8 For the director of music. According to gittith. ^[1] A psalm of David.
1: O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.
2: From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise ^[2] because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.
3: When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
4: what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?
5: You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings ^[3] and crowned him with glory and honor.
6: You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet:
7: all flocks and herds, and the beasts of the field,
8: the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas.
9: O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Psalm 26

1: Psalm 26 Of David.
1: Vindicate me, O LORD, for I have led a blameless life; I have trusted in the LORD without wavering.
2: Test me, O LORD, and try me, examine my heart and my mind;
3: for your love is ever before me, and I walk continually in your truth.
4: I do not sit with deceitful men, nor do I consort with hypocrites;
5: I abhor the assembly of evildoers and refuse to sit with the wicked.
6: I wash my hands in innocence, and go about your altar, O LORD,
7: proclaiming aloud your praise and telling of all your wonderful deeds.
8: I love the house where you live, O LORD, the place where your glory dwells.
9: Do not take away my soul along with sinners, my life with bloodthirsty men,
10: in whose hands are wicked schemes, whose right hands are full of bribes.
11: But I lead a blameless life; redeem me and be merciful to me.
12: My feet stand on level ground; in the great assembly I will praise the LORD.

Psalm 101

1: I will sing of your love and justice; to you, O LORD, I will sing praise.
2: I will be careful to lead a blameless life-- when will you come to me? I will walk in my house with blameless heart.
3: I will set before my eyes no vile thing. The deeds of faithless men I hate; they will not cling to me.
4: Men of perverse heart shall be far from me; I will have nothing to do with evil.
5: Whoever slanders his neighbor in secret, him will I put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, him will I not endure.
6: My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he whose walk is blameless will minister to me.
7: No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence.
8: Every morning I will put to silence all the wicked in the land; I will cut off every evildoer from the city of the LORD.

Psalm 134

1: Praise the LORD, all you servants of the LORD who minister by night in the house of the LORD.
2: Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the LORD.
3: May the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth, bless you from Zion.

Psalm 13

1: How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?
2: How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?
3: Look on me and answer, O LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death;
4: my enemy will say, "I have overcome him," and my foes will rejoice when I fall.
5: But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.
6: I will sing to the LORD, for he has been good to me.

Psalm 12

1: Help, LORD, for the godly are no more; the faithful have vanished from among men.
2: Everyone lies to his neighbor; their flattering lips speak with deception.
3: May the LORD cut off all flattering lips and every boastful tongue
4: that says, "We will triumph with our tongues; we own our lips ^[2] --who is our master?"
5: "Because of the oppression of the weak and the groaning of the needy, I will now arise," says the LORD. "I will protect them from those who malign them."
6: And the words of the LORD are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace of clay, purified seven times.
7: O LORD, you will keep us safe and protect us from such people forever.
8: The wicked freely strut about when what is vile is honored among men.

Psalm 60

1: You have rejected us, O God, and burst forth upon us; you have been angry--now restore us!
2: You have shaken the land and torn it open; mend its fractures, for it is quaking.
3: You have shown your people desperate times; you have given us wine that makes us stagger.
4: But for those who fear you, you have raised a banner to be unfurled against the bow. Selah
5: Save us and help us with your right hand, that those you love may be delivered.
6: God has spoken from his sanctuary: "In triumph I will parcel out Shechem and measure off the Valley of Succoth.
7: Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet, Judah my scepter.
8: Moab is my washbasin, upon Edom I toss my sandal; over Philistia I shout in triumph."
9: Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom?
10: Is it not you, O God, you who have rejected us and no longer go out with our armies?
11: Give us aid against the enemy, for the help of man is worthless.
12: With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.
