The commander 23 brigade, Brig Gen Benson A Akinroluyo celebrated the new year with heroic troops in Gombi, Hong and Garkida all in Adamawa State.
While interacting with the troops the commander said the celebration is to rejoice with them in the front line to make them feel at home.
He said with the fall of sambisa there is need for troops to be vigilant and intensify search at various check point to apprehend any fleeing bokoharam.
He urged troops to be alert and work hand in hand with civilian join Task Force in information sharing to aid their operation.
A'Ibom New Year Baby Arrives at 12:2am, Governor's Wife Welcomes Baby With Gift Items!
In what has become a tradition for the Akwa Ibom State First Lady, the family of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Uyro from Ikono Local Government Area were not only blessed on New Year day with the safe arrival of their child, they were also blessed by Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel as she donated cash and gift items to their new born baby who weighed 3.2kg and arrived at exactly 12: 2am.
Mrs. Emmanuel, who in her humane disposition made an early morning visit to the Ikot Ekpene General Hospital to usher in the New Year baby, also extended her love and interacted with other nursing mothers in the maternity ward by giving out special gift items and cash to their babies.
The Governor’s wife specifically prayed for New Year baby and posited that her birth would usher in prosperity for the families, especially as she had arrived on New Year day.
In appreciation to the governor’s wife, the parents of the New Year baby, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Uyro on behalf of other Nursing mothers poured thanks on the governor’s wife for her magnanimity in visiting them, and prayed God to bless and reward her labour of love.
Also, in appreciation, the Senior Medical Officer of Ikot Ekpene General Hospital, Dr. David Umoh express gratitude to Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel for her generosity in visiting the hospital and donating to the nursing mothers praying that God should bless and sustain the First family.
