Today's bible teaching: The Lord rules over the floodwaters. The Lord reigns as king forever.

PSALMS 29

A psalm of David.
1Honor the Lord, you heavenly beings;
honor the Lord for his glory and strength.
2Honor the Lord for the glory of his name.
Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.
3The voice of the Lord echoes above the sea.
The God of glory thunders.
The Lord thunders over the mighty sea.
4The voice of the Lord is powerful;
the voice of the Lord is majestic.
5The voice of the Lord splits the mighty cedars;
the Lord shatters the cedars of Lebanon.
6He makes Lebanon’s mountains skip like a calf;
he makes Mount Hermon leap like a young wild ox.
7The voice of the Lord strikes
with bolts of lightning.
8The voice of the Lord makes the barren wilderness quake;
the Lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.
9The voice of the Lord twists mighty oaks
and strips the forests bare.
In his Temple everyone shouts, “Glory!”
10The Lord rules over the floodwaters.
The Lord reigns as king forever.
11The Lord gives his people strength.
The Lord blesses them with peace.

Today's prayer: Answer me when I call to you, my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress

Psalm 4

An Evening Prayer of Trust in God

4 1  [1]Answer me when I call to you, my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; have mercy on me and hear my prayer. 2  How long will you people turn my glory into shame? How long will you love delusions and seek false gods[2][3] 3  Know that the Lord has set apart his faithful servant for himself; the Lord hears when I call to him. 4  Tremble and[4] do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent. 5  Offer the sacrifices of the righteous and trust in the Lord.

6  Many, Lord, are asking, "Who will bring us prosperity?" Let the light of your face shine on us. 7  Fill my heart with joy when their grain and new wine abound. 8  In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.

Today's prayer: Look on me and answer, LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death

Psalm 13

For the director of music. A psalm of David.

1 How long, LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? 2 How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me? 3 Look on me and answer, LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death, 4 and my enemy will say, “I have overcome him,” and my foes will rejoice when I fall. 5 But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. 6 I will sing the LORD’s praise, for he has been good to me.

Today's bible teaching: My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth

Psalm 121

A song of ascents.

1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. 3 He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; 4 indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand; 6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; 8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

Today's bible teaching: Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

*RUN THROUGH...*

*1 Corinthians 9:24 - Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.*

Every believer is in a race. We are called to ministry. God has given us something special that makes us unique from anyone else in the world. But it is our personal responsibility to discover, discern, and develop it.

In every race, there is a prize. This prize is a reward for running the race and for being faithful to our calling. There is a prize awaiting all those who endured ministerial pain, storms, discouragement and struggles. The prize is a reward for finishing the race God has set out for us.

For every race, there is a finishing line. In as much as we are still living, we must understand that there is no "heaven bus stop" here on earth. So, focus on your purpose and make up your mind to endure until the end. The race is not over.

Beloved, run with all your might. Run through the storms. Run through the sickness. Run through the hard times. Run through the hurt and betrayal. Run for the crown. Keep going. If you have messed up, come to God - who is able to clean up your mess.

I encourage you today not to stay down. It is time to get up and keep going. Don't give up! God hasn't given up on you. You shall finish the race. You shall win the prize. Amen!

*Shalom!*
