Anambra Police Arrest Suspected Car Snatchers(PHOTOS)

Gentlemen of the press, I welcome you all to this press briefing today 31st August, 2017.

ARREST OF SUSPECTED CAR SNATCHERS/RECOVERY OF VEHICLE : On 27th August 2017  at about 1600hrs, acting on information police personnel from the command arrested three male suspects:
1. MONDAY UCHE M 64yrs
2.SUNDAY OFOEKWE M 42yrs
3. JOSEPH CHIKEZIE M 60yrs
The suspects namely Monday Uche m aged 64yrs and JOSEPH CHIKEZIE  m  aged 60yrs conspired with the duo of Okowa and Johnson Okowa still at large and removed one Toyota Tacoma with Registration no:KGS 735 KS from where parked at St. Michael catholic Church  Amakioha Owerri.  The suspects were tracked down by the Anambra State police Command and arrested at NNOBI town idemili south LGA of Anambra State.

Exhibits recovered includes:
One Stolen Toyota Tacoma Jeep
25 bunches of keys
One master key
One federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC)  jacket
One federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) banner
Two number plates: MUS 515 AX Lagos,  NSH 109 FM Anambra
One emergency Tyre pump
One Toyota ignition key seating
Sets of spanners
Anambra State Vigilante ID card.
   The suspects confessed to the crime and are assisting the police with useful information. They will be handed over to the Imo State Police Command for prosecution accordingly.
Finally, I want to call on the good people of Anambra to be security conscious at all times and report any strange
observation or suspicious movements to the police or other security agencies promptly, please.

KEKE OPERATORS TO CEASE OPERATING IN OWERRI METROPOLIS ON TUESDAY, SEPT. 5, 2017

-AS GOVERNOR ROCHAS OKOROCHA SHARES 2000 PASSAT WAGON CARS TO THEM IN REPLACEMENT

Also in its Urban Renewal pursuit, Keke Operators in the state will cease to operate in designated areas in Owerri, the State Capital as from Tuesday, September 5, 2017 and will only be operating in some areas around the State Capital. Only taxis will now be operating in the Capital City.

For that reason, the governor shared about 2000 pieces of Passat Wagon Cars to the Keke Operators on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 to enable them comply with the directive. Balloting was conducted at the Hero’s Square for the beneficiaries to emerge.

The second batch beneficiaries will get theirs in October while the third batch will have their own in December 2017, adding that keke Operators would no longer be expected to operate along the major roads of Douglas, Wetheral, Bank Road, Orlu Road and other designated roads”.

Addressing the Keke Operators Governor Rochas Okorocha said, “Few years ago when the Keke people gave me a very resounding support, I promised you people that I will change you from three legged to four legged and for that reason, today marks the beginning of movement from tricycle to full car. Now government has made provision for 2,000 taxis to enable all of you to have one taxi each. This is done to give you comfort and make your life prosperous. I would have not been happy if I finish this government without fulfilling my promise”.

He said “For purpose of clarity this is government empowerment scheme to empower the masses, to reduce pain in your families and to bring comfort. Keke has served us well in Imo State and I want to thank you all for serving us well but as Imo State is developing and getting better with good roads and a lot of infrastructural developments, Keke can no longer be the appropriate means of transport within the Owerri City, this is why we are moving from Keke to a full car”.

He continued “Only few days ago, you heard the story about EKEUKWU MARKET, and few months ago you heard the attack on the Urban Renewal and few years ago you heard about the free education and the attack by the elite, you will agree with me my people that I have come to rescue Imo State. In all these, I Rochas Okorocha your governor, has no direct or indirect benefit from my free education or widening the road or even relocating the EKEUKWU but I see that in the next ten years Imo will appreciate what I have done for them”.

“I give you this cars without subjecting you to pay for forms, or cost of transportation or any another fee, I release it free of charge, I am doing this for God’s sake that the poor people may smile.

“I want all of you to understand that I am making the highest sacrifice that it may be well with my people. I have tried to make Imo much better than I met it, as I struggle painfully, having sleepless nights to make the life of my people better, I want you to reciprocate by joining me in the fight to rescue the state totally from the hands of scavengers ravaging the state over the years.

“I relocated Ekeukwu to stop crime in the area and clean the city of dirts, so that light can come in but the Sadducees and Pharisees cashed in and changed the narrative. Only yesterday, they said they want to pay condolence over a child that was shot, let me tell you, neither the Police nor any government official shot any gun and till today nobody has shown where the blood of that child was but this happened along Mbaise road not even on Douglas Road”. he stressed

MISSING: RRS RE-UNITES WARRI BOY WITH PARENT(PHOTOS)

EZE AKIRI, the wandering boy, who was rescued by the operatives of Rapid Response Squad in Ojodu - Berger hours after being abandoned by a friend who lured him to Lagos, has been 're - United
with his parents at the RRS Headquarter, Alausa, Ikeja.

AKIRI spent two nights in the custody of RRS Officers before he was linked to his parents.

Although his biological parents couldn't make it down to Lagos from Delta State, they sent a relative, Akiri James, who live in Lagos.

The boy was handed over to him this afternoon at 2:43 p.m after multiple confirmation from the parents.

Armed Robber Nabbed At The Lords Chosen Church In Ondo,Tied With Rope(Photos)

   Two days before the just concluded TheLords Chosen Ondo State State Crusade (MY STORY MUST CHANGE), some unknown persons broke into the State Pastor's office to cart away the money kept there for the running of the programme but God of Chosen blindfolded them and they were unable to see the money that was so glary to any body that enters the office.

  Now, on Monday night after the crusade, they came boldly again because they believed pledge was made in the programme, but this time around, God was not ready to show them mercy again since they didn't learn their lessons in their previous attempt.As the workers and leaders gathered for their usual vigil, while prayers were going on, the state lastor came out of his office but it was unusual of him. Immediately, He Sang a song which goes thus;

"Covenant  keeping God,
There is no one like You.
Alpha and Omega,
There is no one like you."

  He made reference to the just concluded crusade - (MY STORY MUST CHANGE) AND PROCLAIMED THAT OUR STORY HAS INDEED CHANGED. Shortly after that statement,some armed men came to attack the church with their weapons and as they surrounded the church compound, 3 of them quickly entered inside the church. On seeing them, all the brethren declared themselves Chosen (I Am A Chosen - 3 Times, just according to the instruction of the General Pastor - that they should declare themselves Chosen, that they shall see the glory of God in action.

All of a sudden, they became powerless and they took to their heels, while running, one of them fell into the gutter and was apprehended by some of The Chosen Mopol Brethren. He was later handed over to the police at B Division, Oke Aro. The name of the police head that the case was handed over to is ASP ENEBELEM.
