Today's prayer: May all who hate Zion be turned back in shame
Psalm 129
A song of ascents.
1 “They have greatly oppressed me from my youth,”
let Israel say;
2 “they have greatly oppressed me from my youth,
but they have not gained the victory over me.
3 Plowmen have plowed my back
and made their furrows long.
4 But the Lord is righteous;
he has cut me free from the cords of the wicked.”
5 May all who hate Zion
be turned back in shame.
6 May they be like grass on the roof,
which withers before it can grow;
7 a reaper cannot fill his hands with it,
nor one who gathers fill his arms.
8 May those who pass by not say to them,
“The blessing of the Lord be on you;
we bless you in the name of the Lord.”

Today's prayer: Lord, you are the God who saves me;day and night I cry out to you.May my prayer come before you;turn your ear to my cry.
Psalm 88
A song. A psalm of the Sons of Korah. For the director of music. According to mahalath leannoth.A maskil of Heman the Ezrahite.
1 Lord, you are the God who saves me;
day and night I cry out to you.
2 May my prayer come before you;
turn your ear to my cry.
3 I am overwhelmed with troubles
and my life draws near to death.
4 I am counted among those who go down to the pit;
I am like one without strength.
5 I am set apart with the dead,
like the slain who lie in the grave,
whom you remember no more,
who are cut off from your care.
6 You have put me in the lowest pit,
in the darkest depths.
7 Your wrath lies heavily on me;
you have overwhelmed me with all your waves.[d]
8 You have taken from me my closest friends
and have made me repulsive to them.
I am confined and cannot escape;
9 my eyes are dim with grief.
I call to you, Lord, every day;
I spread out my hands to you.
10 Do you show your wonders to the dead?
Do their spirits rise up and praise you?
11 Is your love declared in the grave,
your faithfulness in Destruction[e]?
12 Are your wonders known in the place of darkness,
or your righteous deeds in the land of oblivion?
13 But I cry to you for help, Lord;
in the morning my prayer comes before you.
14 Why, Lord, do you reject me
and hide your face from me?
15 From my youth I have suffered and been close to death;
I have borne your terrors and am in despair.
16 Your wrath has swept over me;
your terrors have destroyed me.
17 All day long they surround me like a flood;
they have completely engulfed me.
18 You have taken from me friend and neighbor—
darkness is my closest friend.

Today's bible teaching: Like new born babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation
*LIFE TONIC*
*1 Peter 2:2 -*
*Like new born babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.*
Every new born baby is always nourished by the mother's breast and milk. The growth rate of the baby depends on the milk. A child can not grow physically without proper food. Parents always want their children to eat what is good. Adults also required or need food for physical growth. The type of food we eat each day will determine our growth rate.
As new babies crave for milk, adults crave for hard food for physical nourishment and growth; the same way we should desire for good food for our spiritual growth. God's word is the greatest nutrient required for spiritual growth.
Jesus answered, "it is written man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God" - *Matthew 4:4.*
Bread is good for our nourishment, but we can not do without the word of God. The word of God is the milk you need for your spiritual growth. Beloved, turn around today and feed your mind with the word of God. May God's word energize you and cause you to grow rapidly in every area of your life in Jesus Name.
*Shalom!*
*Happy New Week*

Southeast Governors Meet In Enugu,Tell Buhari That There Is No Land For Ruga(Photos)
Today's prayer: Help us, God our Savior,for the glory of your name; deliver us and forgive our sins for your name’s sake.
Psalm 79
A psalm of Asaph.
1 O God, the nations have invaded your inheritance;
they have defiled your holy temple,
they have reduced Jerusalem to rubble.
2 They have left the dead bodies of your servants
as food for the birds of the sky,
the flesh of your own people for the animals of the wild.
3 They have poured out blood like water
all around Jerusalem,
and there is no one to bury the dead.
4 We are objects of contempt to our neighbors,
of scorn and derision to those around us.
5 How long, Lord? Will you be angry forever?
How long will your jealousy burn like fire?
6 Pour out your wrath on the nations
that do not acknowledge you,
on the kingdoms
that do not call on your name;
7 for they have devoured Jacob
and devastated his homeland.
8 Do not hold against us the sins of past generations;
may your mercy come quickly to meet us,
for we are in desperate need.
9 Help us, God our Savior,
for the glory of your name;
deliver us and forgive our sins
for your name’s sake.
10 Why should the nations say,
“Where is their God?”
Before our eyes, make known among the nations
that you avenge the outpoured blood of your servants.
11 May the groans of the prisoners come before you;
with your strong arm preserve those condemned to die.
12 Pay back into the laps of our neighbors seven times
the contempt they have hurled at you, Lord.
13 Then we your people, the sheep of your pasture,
will praise you forever;
from generation to generation
we will proclaim your praise.
