Today's bible teaching: Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!

Psalm 27

The Lord Is My Light and My Salvation

27 Of David.

  The Lord is my hlight and my isalvation;

jwhom shall I fear?

The Lord is the stronghold1 of my life;

of whom shall I be afraid?

  When evildoers assail me

to keat up my flesh,

my adversaries and foes,

it is they who stumble and fall.

  lThough an army encamp against me,

my heart shall not fear;

though war arise against me,

yet2 I will be confident.

  mOne thing have I asked of the Lord,

that will I seek after:

that I may ndwell in the house of the Lord

all the days of my life,

to gaze upon othe beauty of the Lord

and to inquire3 in his temple.

  For he will phide me in his shelter

in the day of trouble;

he will conceal me under the cover of his tent;

he will qlift me high upon a rock.

  And now my rhead shall be lifted up

above my enemies all around me,

and I will offer in his tent

sacrifices with shouts of sjoy;

tI will sing and make melody to the Lord.

  uHear, O Lord, when I cry aloud;

be gracious to me and answer me!

  You have said, v“Seek4 my face.”

My heart says to you,

“Your face, Lord, do I seek.”5

  wHide not your face from me.

Turn not your servant away in anger,

O you who have been my help.

Cast me not off; forsake me not,

xO God of my salvation!

 10  For ymy father and my mother have forsaken me,

but the Lord will ztake me in.

 11  aTeach me your way, O Lord,

and lead me on ba level path

because of my enemies.

 12  cGive me not up to the will of my adversaries;

for dfalse witnesses have risen against me,

and they ebreathe out violence.

 13  I believe that I shall look6 upon fthe goodness of the Lord

in gthe land of the living!

 14  hWait for the Lord;

ibe strong, and let your heart take courage;

wait for the Lord!

Today's bible teaching: To be a christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing

*A PRAYER LIFESTYLE*

*1Thessalonians 5:17 - Pray without ceasing.*

Prayer is a relationship with God, a walking with God. God longs to have a relationship with you, don't give Him the silent treatment. Map out time each day to have a date with God.

Prayer is the backbone of our christian faith. Prayer should be a daily activity. It is like breathing. When you stop breathing you die. So it is in the spiritual realm, when you stop praying you die slowly.

Neglecting the habit of prayer has consequences. When we skip the habit of prayer we become susceptible to sin. We become spiritually weak and open to temptation and attack. Don't faint!

*"To be a christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing." - Martin Luther*

Our beloved Daniel would rather spend a night with lions than go a day without prayer. We ought always to pray. When we stop praying we become prey in the hands of enemies.

Beloved, rise up to your challenge in prayer. Don't give up. Develop a lifestyle of prayer. Pray with persistence. Give a meaning to your life via prayer. See you at the top of your manifestation

*Shalom!*

Today's bible teaching: With God we shall do valiantly; it is he who will tread down our foes.

 Psalm 60

1 O God, jyou have rejected us, kbroken our defenses;

you have been angry; loh, restore us.

  You have made the land to quake; you have torn it open;

mrepair its breaches, for it totters.

  nYou have made your people see hard things;

oyou have given us pwine to drink that made us stagger.

  You have set up qa banner for those who fear you,

that they may flee to it rfrom the bow.2 Selah

  sThat your tbeloved ones may be delivered,

give salvation by your right hand and answer us!

  God has spoken uin his holiness:3

“With exultation vI will divide up wShechem

and portion out the Vale of xSuccoth.

  yGilead is mine; Manasseh is mine;

zEphraim is amy helmet;

Judah is my bscepter.

  cMoab is my washbasin;

upon Edom I dcast my shoe;

over ePhilistia I shout in triumph.”4

  Who will bring me to the fortified city?

fWho will lead me to Edom?

 10  Have you not grejected us, O God?

You hdo not go forth, O God, with our armies.

 11  Oh, grant us help against the foe,

for ivain is the salvation of man!

 12  With God we shall jdo valiantly;

it is he who will ktread down our foes.

Today's prayer: Be gracious to me, O God, for people trample on me;all day long foes oppress me

Psalm 56

To the leader: according to The Dove on Far-off Terebinths. Of David. A Miktam, when the Philistines seized him in Gath.
1 Be gracious to me, O God, for people trample on me;
   all day long foes oppress me;
2 my enemies trample on me all day long,
   for many fight against me.
O Most High, 3when I am afraid,
   I put my trust in you.
4 In God, whose word I praise,
   in God I trust; I am not afraid;
   what can flesh do to me?

5 All day long they seek to injure my cause;
   all their thoughts are against me for evil.
6 They stir up strife, they lurk,
   they watch my steps.
As they hoped to have my life,
7   so repay* them for their crime;
   in wrath cast down the peoples, O God!

8 You have kept count of my tossings;
   put my tears in your bottle.
   Are they not in your record?
9 Then my enemies will retreat
   on the day when I call.
   This I know, that* God is for me.
10 In God, whose word I praise,
   in the Lord, whose word I praise,
11 in God I trust; I am not afraid.
   What can a mere mortal do to me?

12 My vows to you I must perform, O God;
   I will render thank-offerings to you.
13 For you have delivered my soul from death,
   and my feet from falling,
so that I may walk before God
   in the light of life.
