Today's bible teaching: Rise up, O God, judge the earth, for all the nations are your inheritance

Psalm 82

A Rebuke of Unjust Judgments

82 1  God presides in the great assembly; he renders judgment among the "gods": 2  "How long will you[1] defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked?[2] 3  Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. 4  Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. 5  "The 'gods' know nothing, they understand nothing. They walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.

6  "I said, 'You are "gods"; you are all sons of the Most High.' 7  But you will die like mere mortals; you will fall like every other ruler." 8  Rise up, O God, judge the earth, for all the nations are your inheritance.

Today's prayer: Deliver me from my enemies, O God; protect me from those who rise up against me

Psalm 59
1
Psalm 59 For the director of music. [To the tune of] "Do Not Destroy." Of David. A miktam.  When Saul had sent men to watch David's house in order to kill him.
1
Deliver me from my enemies, O God; protect me from those who rise up against me.
2
Deliver me from evildoers and save me from bloodthirsty men.
3
See how they lie in wait for me! Fierce men conspire against me for no offense or sin of mine, O LORD.
4
I have done no wrong, yet they are ready to attack me. Arise to help me; look on my plight!
5
O LORD God Almighty, the God of Israel, rouse yourself to punish all the nations; show no mercy to wicked traitors. Selah
6
They return at evening, snarling like dogs, and prowl about the city.
7
See what they spew from their mouths-- they spew out swords from their lips, and they say, "Who can hear us?"
8
But you, O LORD, laugh at them; you scoff at all those nations.
9
O my Strength, I watch for you; you, O God, are my fortress,
10
my loving God. God will go before me and will let me gloat over those who slander me.
11
But do not kill them, O Lord our shield, [2] or my people will forget. In your might make them wander about, and bring them down.
12
For the sins of their mouths, for the words of their lips, let them be caught in their pride. For the curses and lies they utter,
13
consume them in wrath, consume them till they are no more. Then it will be known to the ends of the earth that God rules over Jacob. Selah
14
They return at evening, snarling like dogs, and prowl about the city.
15
They wander about for food and howl if not satisfied.
16
But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.
17
O my Strength, I sing praise to you; you, O God, are my fortress, my loving God.

Today's bible teaching: No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence

Psalm 101
1
Psalm 101 Of David. A psalm.
1
I will sing of your love and justice; to you, O LORD, I will sing praise.
2
I will be careful to lead a blameless life-- when will you come to me? I will walk in my house with blameless heart.
3
I will set before my eyes no vile thing. The deeds of faithless men I hate; they will not cling to me.
4
Men of perverse heart shall be far from me; I will have nothing to do with evil.
5
Whoever slanders his neighbor in secret, him will I put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, him will I not endure.
6
My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he whose walk is blameless will minister to me.
7
No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence.
8
Every morning I will put to silence all the wicked in the land; I will cut off every evildoer from the city of the LORD.

Psalm 111
1
Psalm 111
1
Praise the LORD. I will extol the LORD with all my heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly.
2
Great are the works of the LORD; they are pondered by all who delight in them.
3
Glorious and majestic are his deeds, and his righteousness endures forever.
4
He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and compassionate.
5
He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever.
6
He has shown his people the power of his works, giving them the lands of other nations.
7
The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy.
8
They are steadfast for ever and ever, done in faithfulness and uprightness.
9
He provided redemption for his people; he ordained his covenant forever-- holy and awesome is his name.
10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.

1
Psalm 121 A song of ascents.
1
I lift up my eyes to the hills-- where does my help come from?
2

Today's bible teaching: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me

*JESUS IS THE WAY*

*John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.*

To get to any destination in life, one needs to find the way that leads to the destination. Oftentimes, we do embark on a journey without an accurate address which will definitely cause our time, resources and a lot of effort to get to the rightful way or path.

Life is full of confusion, at a very big cross road, we might get lost or be distracted on the right way to take. Unquenchable desire of man to find a way for better life and prosperity have really led some people to the wrong way and some might lose their lives at the end.

Many people want a secured life. Jesus is the only one who can offer true security. A lot of people have committed sins and immoralities in search of better life or best way of secured life. Our society today has lost the way. We are no more at the right track. Homosexuality, lesbianism, money rituals, yahoo businesses, and other host of cheating ventures. "Make money and die today" is the order of the day.

Beloved, Jesus is the way. You might have gone astray in your quest for better life. Allow Jesus to fix your life. He is the way that can lead you to greatness. Jesus is the way we need to walk to get our work done. Jesus is the truth we need to know to counter any other falsehood of man. Jesus is the life we need to live forever for Him here on earth and with Him forever in Heaven. Remain Blessed. Amen!

Today's bible teaching: But the king will rejoice in God; all who swear by God's name will praise him, while the mouths of liars will be silenced

Psalm 63
1
Psalm 63 A psalm of David. When he was in the Desert of Judah.
1
O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
2
I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.
3
Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.
4
I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.
5
My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you.
6
On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night.
7
Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings.
8
My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.
9
They who seek my life will be destroyed; they will go down to the depths of the earth.
10
They will be given over to the sword and become food for jackals.
11
But the king will rejoice in God; all who swear by God's name will praise him, while the mouths of liars will be silenced.

Today's bible teaching: You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples

Psalm 77
1
Psalm 77 For the director of music. For Jeduthun. Of Asaph. A psalm.
1
I cried out to God for help; I cried out to God to hear me.
2
When I was in distress, I sought the Lord; at night I stretched out untiring hands and my soul refused to be comforted.
3
I remembered you, O God, and I groaned; I mused, and my spirit grew faint. Selah
4
You kept my eyes from closing; I was too troubled to speak.
5
I thought about the former days, the years of long ago;
6
I remembered my songs in the night. My heart mused and my spirit inquired:
7
"Will the Lord reject forever? Will he never show his favor again?
8
Has his unfailing love vanished forever? Has his promise failed for all time?
9
Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has he in anger withheld his compassion?" Selah
10
Then I thought, "To this I will appeal: the years of the right hand of the Most High."
11
I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.
12
I will meditate on all your works and consider all your mighty deeds.
13
Your ways, O God, are holy. What god is so great as our God?
14
You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples.
15
With your mighty arm you redeemed your people, the descendants of Jacob and Joseph. Selah
16
The waters saw you, O God, the waters saw you and writhed; the very depths were convulsed.
17
The clouds poured down water, the skies resounded with thunder; your arrows flashed back and forth.
18
Your thunder was heard in the whirlwind, your lightning lit up the world; the earth trembled and quaked.
19
Your path led through the sea, your way through the mighty waters, though your footprints were not seen.
20
You led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

Today's bible teaching: The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them

      Psalm 34
      1
Psalm 34 Of David. When he pretended to be insane before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he left. [1]
      1
I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.
      2
My soul will boast in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice.
      3
Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together.
      4
I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.
      5
Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.
      6
This poor man called, and the LORD heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles.
      7
The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.
      8
Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
      9
Fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing.
      10
The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.
      11
Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
      12
Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days,
      13
keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies.
      14
Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
      15
      The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry;
      16
the face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.
      17
The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.
      18
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
      19
      A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all;
      20
he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.
      21
Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned.
      22
The LORD redeems his servants; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him.

Today's bible teaching: Don't give up it's not over because God is working everything together for your good

      *HE IS MAKING A WAY*

*Isaiah 43:16 - Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;*

Our God is a way maker. When you can't see a way out, God has it all figured out, He will make a way for you where there is no way.

Most times, we all have been in situations where we have wondered if there is a way out of our problem. No matter what predicament, problem or difficulty you are facing the Lord has a way when there seems to be absolutely no solution in sight. God always provides a solution to any problem we are facing.

The fact is, we all face circumstances in life, some of which may even seem impossible to resolve. No matter how hopeless or impossible a circumstance seems to be, God is able to make a way for you even if it means having to wait on Him.

Beloved, you need to believe that He is working behind the scenes and trust Him to make a way for you even when you feel like giving up, even when it seems like there is no point in holding on to hope. Don't give up it's not over because God is working everything together for your good.

Today's prayer: May all who gloat over my distress be put to shame and confusion; may all who exalt themselves over me be clothed with shame and disgrace

      Psalm 35
      1
      Psalm 35 Of David.
      1
Contend, O LORD, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me.
      2
Take up shield and buckler; arise and come to my aid.
      3
Brandish spear and javelin [1] against those who pursue me. Say to my soul, "I am your salvation."
      4
May those who seek my life be disgraced and put to shame; may those who plot my ruin be turned back in dismay.
      5
      May they be like chaff before the wind, with the angel of the LORD driving them away;
      6
may their path be dark and slippery, with the angel of the LORD pursuing them.
      7
Since they hid their net for me without cause and without cause dug a pit for me,
      8
may ruin overtake them by surprise-- may the net they hid entangle them, may they fall into the pit, to their ruin.
      9
Then my soul will rejoice in the LORD and delight in his salvation.
      10
My whole being will exclaim, "Who is like you, O LORD? You rescue the poor from those too strong for them, the poor and needy from those who rob them."
      11
Ruthless witnesses come forward; they question me on things I know nothing about.
      12
They repay me evil for good and leave my soul forlorn.
      13
Yet when they were ill, I put on sackcloth and humbled myself with fasting. When my prayers returned to me unanswered,
      14
I went about mourning as though for my friend or brother. I bowed my head in grief as though weeping for my mother.
      15
But when I stumbled, they gathered in glee; attackers gathered against me when I was unaware. They slandered me without ceasing.
      16
Like the ungodly they maliciously mocked [2] ; they gnashed their teeth at me.
      17
O Lord, how long will you look on? Rescue my life from their ravages, my precious life from these lions.
      18
I will give you thanks in the great assembly; among throngs of people I will praise you.
      19
Let not those gloat over me who are my enemies without cause; let not those who hate me without reason maliciously wink the eye.
      20
They do not speak peaceably, but devise false accusations against those who live quietly in the land.
      21
They gape at me and say, "Aha! Aha! With our own eyes we have seen it."
      22
O LORD, you have seen this; be not silent. Do not be far from me, O Lord.
      23
Awake, and rise to my defense! Contend for me, my God and Lord.
      24
Vindicate me in your righteousness, O LORD my God; do not let them gloat over me.
      25
Do not let them think, "Aha, just what we wanted!" or say, "We have swallowed him up."
      26
May all who gloat over my distress be put to shame and confusion; may all who exalt themselves over me be clothed with shame and disgrace.
      27
May those who delight in my vindication shout for joy and gladness; may they always say, "The LORD be exalted, who delights in the well-being of his servant."
      28
My tongue will speak of your righteousness and of your praises all day long.

Today's prayer: To you I call, O LORD my Rock; do not turn a deaf ear to me. For if you remain silent, I will be like those who have gone down to the pit

      Psalm 28
      1
      Psalm 28 Of David.
      1
To you I call, O LORD my Rock; do not turn a deaf ear to me. For if you remain silent, I will be like those who have gone down to the pit.
      2
Hear my cry for mercy as I call to you for help, as I lift up my hands toward your Most Holy Place.
      3
Do not drag me away with the wicked, with those who do evil, who speak cordially with their neighbors but harbor malice in their hearts.
      4
Repay them for their deeds and for their evil work; repay them for what their hands have done and bring back upon them what they deserve.
      5
Since they show no regard for the works of the LORD and what his hands have done, he will tear them down and never build them up again.
      6
Praise be to the LORD, for he has heard my cry for mercy.
      7
The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.
      8
The LORD is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.
      9
Save your people and bless your inheritance; be their shepherd and carry them forever

Today's bible teaching: I love the house where you live, O LORD, the place where your glory dwells

      Psalm 26
      1
      Psalm 26 Of David.
      1
Vindicate me, O LORD, for I have led a blameless life; I have trusted in the LORD without wavering.
      2
      Test me, O LORD, and try me, examine my heart and my mind;
      3
for your love is ever before me, and I walk continually in your truth.
      4
      I do not sit with deceitful men, nor do I consort with hypocrites;
      5
I abhor the assembly of evildoers and refuse to sit with the wicked.
      6
I wash my hands in innocence, and go about your altar, O LORD,
      7
proclaiming aloud your praise and telling of all your wonderful deeds.
      8
I love the house where you live, O LORD, the place where your glory dwells.
      9
Do not take away my soul along with sinners, my life with bloodthirsty men,
      10
in whose hands are wicked schemes, whose right hands are full of bribes.
      11
But I lead a blameless life; redeem me and be merciful to me.

Today's bible teaching: For our present trouble, which is only for a short time, is working out for us a much weight of glory

      *GREATER GLORY*

*2 Corinthians 4:17 - For our present trouble, which is only for a short time, is working out for us a much weight of glory.*

Obstacles of today is preparing us for greater glory. Yes, it is not always easy to overcome obstacle that comes our way. Our lives have the possibility of shining out His glory at all times.

The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall. The greater the obstacle, the more glory in overcoming it.

Beloved, your present trouble must work out a greater glory this season for you in Jesus Matchless Name. Amen!

Today's bible teaching: The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple

      Psalm 19
      1
Psalm 19 For the director of music. A psalm of David.
      1
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
      2
Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge.
      3
There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. [1]
      4
Their voice [2] goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun,
      5
which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion, like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
      6
It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is hidden from its heat.
      7
The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
      8
The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.
      9
The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the LORD are sure and altogether righteous.
      10
They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb.
      11
By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
      12
Who can discern his errors? Forgive my hidden faults.
      13
Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then will I be blameless, innocent of great transgression.
      14
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Today's prayer: Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer from the ends of the earth I call to you

      Psalm 61
      1
Psalm 61 For the director of music. With stringed instruments. Of David.
      1
Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer.
      2
From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
      3
For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe.
      4
I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings. Selah
      5
For you have heard my vows, O God; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.
      6
Increase the days of the king's life, his years for many generations.
      7
May he be enthroned in God's presence forever; appoint your love and faithfulness to protect him.
      8
Then will I ever sing praise to your name and fulfill my vows day after day

Today's prayer: Hear, O LORD, and be merciful to me; O LORD, be my help

      Psalm 30
      1
Psalm 30 A psalm. A song. For the dedication of the temple. [1] Of David.
      1
I will exalt you, O LORD, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me.
      2
O LORD my God, I called to you for help and you healed me.
      3
O LORD, you brought me up from the grave [2] ; you spared me from going down into the pit.
      4
Sing to the LORD, you saints of his; praise his holy name.
      5
For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
      6
When I felt secure, I said, "I will never be shaken."
      7
O LORD, when you favored me, you made my mountain [3] stand firm; but when you hid your face, I was dismayed.
      8
To you, O LORD, I called; to the Lord I cried for mercy:
      9
"What gain is there in my destruction, [4] in my going down into the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it proclaim your faithfulness?
      10
Hear, O LORD, and be merciful to me; O LORD, be my help."
      11
You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
      12
that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever.

      Psalm 121
      1
Psalm 121 A song of ascents.
      1
I lift up my eyes to the hills-- where does my help come from?
      2
My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
      3
      He will not let your foot slip-- he who watches over you will not slumber;
      4
indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
      5
      The LORD watches over you-- the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
      6
the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
      7
      The LORD will keep you from all harm-- he will watch over your life;
      8
the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore

Today's bible teaching: Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

      Psalm 2
      1
      Psalm 2
      1
Why do the nations conspire [1] and the peoples plot in vain?
      2
The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the LORD and against his Anointed One. [2]
      3
"Let us break their chains," they say, "and throw off their fetters."
      4
The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.
      5
Then he rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,
      6
"I have installed my King [3] on Zion, my holy hill."
      7
I will proclaim the decree of the LORD: He said to me, "You are my Son [4] ; today I have become your Father. [5]
      8
Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.
      9
You will rule them with an iron scepter [6] ; you will dash them to pieces like pottery."
      10
Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth.
      11
Serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling.
      12
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

Today's bible teaching: Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.

      Psalm 20
      1
Psalm 20 For the director of music. A psalm of David.
      1
May the LORD answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
      2
May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion.
      3
May he remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings. Selah
      4
May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.
      5
We will shout for joy when you are victorious and will lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the LORD grant all your requests.
      6
Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed; he answers him from his holy heaven with the saving power of his right hand.
      7
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
      8
They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.
      9
O LORD, save the king! Answer [1] us when we call!

Today's bible teaching: Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches

      *GLORY IN THE LORD*

*Jeremiah 9:23-24 - Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:*
*But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.*

People do brag about their talents, wealth, strength, power, knowledge and wisdom. Most times, all of us at one time or another have bragged about or glorified in so many things like - favourite sports team, car, job, house, kids, vacation, and friends or acquaintance.

We should note of God's word and act accordingly. We are not to boast of our might and wonderful works, but instead when we glory, we should glory in Him.

Beloved, your riches, power, strength and ability will surely fade, but knowing God and boasting in Him will stand forever. May the Lord bless and keep you in all ramifications as you glory or boast in Him. Amen!

Today's bible teaching: He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart will dwell in God's sanctuary

      Psalm 15
      1
Psalm 15 A psalm of David.
      1
LORD, who may dwell in your sanctuary? Who may live on your holy hill?
      2
He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart
      3
and has no slander on his tongue, who does his neighbor no wrong and casts no slur on his fellowman,
      4
who despises a vile man but honors those who fear the LORD, who keeps his oath even when it hurts,
      5
who lends his money without usury and does not accept a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things will never be shaken.

Today's bible teaching: O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth

      Psalm 8
      1
Psalm 8 For the director of music. According to gittith. [1] A psalm of David.
      1
O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.
      2
From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise [2] because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.
      3
When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
      4
what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?
      5
You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings [3] and crowned him with glory and honor.
      6
You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet:
      7
all flocks and herds, and the beasts of the field,
      8
the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas.
      9
O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth

Today's prayer: Hear, O LORD, my righteous plea; listen to my cry. Give ear to my prayer-- it does not rise from deceitful lips

      Psalm 17
      1
Psalm 17 A prayer of David.
      1
Hear, O LORD, my righteous plea; listen to my cry. Give ear to my prayer-- it does not rise from deceitful lips.
      2
May my vindication come from you; may your eyes see what is right.
      3
Though you probe my heart and examine me at night, though you test me, you will find nothing; I have resolved that my mouth will not sin.
      4
As for the deeds of men-- by the word of your lips I have kept myself from the ways of the violent.
      5
My steps have held to your paths; my feet have not slipped.
      6
I call on you, O God, for you will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer.
      7
Show the wonder of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes.
      8
Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings
      9
from the wicked who assail me, from my mortal enemies who surround me.
      10
They close up their callous hearts, and their mouths speak with arrogance.
      11
They have tracked me down, they now surround me, with eyes alert, to throw me to the ground.
      12
They are like a lion hungry for prey, like a great lion crouching in cover.
      13
Rise up, O LORD, confront them, bring them down; rescue me from the wicked by your sword.
      14
O LORD, by your hand save me from such men, from men of this world whose reward is in this life. You still the hunger of those you cherish; their sons have plenty, and they store up wealth for their children.
      15
And I--in righteousness I will see your face; when I awake, I will be satisfied with seeing your likeness.

Today's bible teaching: Offer right sacrifices and trust in the LORD

          Psalm 4
          1
Psalm 4 For the director of music. With stringed instruments. A psalm of David.
          1
Answer me when I call to you, O my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; be merciful to me and hear my prayer.
          2
How long, O men, will you turn my glory into shame [1] ? How long will you love delusions and seek false gods [2] ? Selah
          3
Know that the LORD has set apart the godly for himself; the LORD will hear when I call to him.
          4
In your anger do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent. Selah
          5
Offer right sacrifices and trust in the LORD.
          6
Many are asking, "Who can show us any good?" Let the light of your face shine upon us, O LORD.
          7
You have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wine abound.
          8
I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety

Today's prayer: Look on me and answer, O LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death

          Psalm 13
          1
Psalm 13 For the director of music. A psalm of David.
          1
How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?
          2
How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?
          3
          Look on me and answer, O LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death;
          4
my enemy will say, "I have overcome him," and my foes will rejoice when I fall.
          5
But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.
          6
I will sing to the LORD, for he has been good to me.

Today's prayer: Arise, LORD! Lift up your hand, O God. Do not forget the helpless.

              Psalm 10
              1
              Psalm 10
              1
Why, O LORD, do you stand far off? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?
              2
In his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak, who are caught in the schemes he devises.
              3
He boasts of the cravings of his heart; he blesses the greedy and reviles the LORD.
              4
In his pride the wicked does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God.
              5
His ways are always prosperous; he is haughty and your laws are far from him; he sneers at all his enemies.
              6
He says to himself, "Nothing will shake me; I'll always be happy and never have trouble."
              7
His mouth is full of curses and lies and threats; trouble and evil are under his tongue.
              8
He lies in wait near the villages; from ambush he murders the innocent, watching in secret for his victims.
              9
He lies in wait like a lion in cover; he lies in wait to catch the helpless; he catches the helpless and drags them off in his net.
              10
His victims are crushed, they collapse; they fall under his strength.
              11
He says to himself, "God has forgotten; he covers his face and never sees."
              12
Arise, LORD! Lift up your hand, O God. Do not forget the helpless.
              13
Why does the wicked man revile God? Why does he say to himself, "He won't call me to account"?
              14
But you, O God, do see trouble and grief; you consider it to take it in hand. The victim commits himself to you; you are the helper of the fatherless.
              15
Break the arm of the wicked and evil man; call him to account for his wickedness that would not be found out.
              16
The LORD is King for ever and ever; the nations will perish from his land.
              17
You hear, O LORD, the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry,
              18
defending the fatherless and the oppressed, in order that man, who is of the earth, may terrify no more.
