Psalm 11

1: Psalm 11 For the director of music. Of David.
1: In the LORD I take refuge. How then can you say to me: "Flee like a bird to your mountain.
2: For look, the wicked bend their bows; they set their arrows against the strings to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart.
3: When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do ^[1] ?"
4: The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD is on his heavenly throne. He observes the sons of men; his eyes examine them.
5: The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked ^[2] and those who love violence his soul hates.
6: On the wicked he will rain fiery coals and burning sulfur; a scorching wind will be their lot.
7: For the LORD is righteous, he loves justice; upright men will see his face.

Psalm 6

1: O LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your wrath.
2: Be merciful to me, LORD, for I am faint; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are in agony.
3: My soul is in anguish. How long, O LORD, how long?
4: Turn, O LORD, and deliver me; save me because of your unfailing love.
5: No one remembers you when he is dead. Who praises you from the grave ^[2] ?
6: I am worn out from groaning; all night long I flood my bed with weeping and drench my couch with tears.
7: My eyes grow weak with sorrow; they fail because of all my foes.
8: Away from me, all you who do evil, for the LORD has heard my weeping.
9: The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer.
10: All my enemies will be ashamed and dismayed; they will turn back in sudden disgrace.

Psalm 134

2: Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the LORD.
3: May the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth, bless you from Zion.

Psalm 56

1: Be merciful to me, O God, for men hotly pursue me; all day long they press their attack.
2: My slanderers pursue me all day long; many are attacking me in their pride.
3: When I am afraid, I will trust in you.
4: In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?
5: All day long they twist my words; they are always plotting to harm me.
6: They conspire, they lurk, they watch my steps, eager to take my life.
7: On no account let them escape; in your anger, O God, bring down the nations.
8: Record my lament; list my tears on your scroll ^[2] -- are they not in your record?
9: Then my enemies will turn back when I call for help. By this I will know that God is for me.
10: In God, whose word I praise, in the LORD, whose word I praise--
11: in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
12: I am under vows to you, O God; I will present my thank offerings to you.
13: For you have delivered me ^[3] from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life. ^[4]

Psalm 100

1: Psalm 100 A psalm. For giving thanks.
1: Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.
2: Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
3: Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his ^[1] ; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4: Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
5: For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Psalm 112

1: Psalm 112
1: Praise the LORD. Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who finds great delight in his commands.
2: His children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.
3: Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.
4: Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man.
5: Good will come to him who is generous and lends freely, who conducts his affairs with justice.
6: Surely he will never be shaken; a righteous man will be remembered forever.
7: He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
8: His heart is secure, he will have no fear; in the end he will look in triumph on his foes.
9: He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor, his righteousness endures forever; his horn will be lifted high in honor.
10: The wicked man will see and be vexed, he will gnash his teeth and waste away; the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.
