Psalm 3

1: Psalm 3 A psalm of David. When he fled from his son Absalom.
1: O LORD, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me!
2: Many are saying of me, "God will not deliver him." Selah ^[1]
3: But you are a shield around me, O LORD; you bestow glory on me and lift ^[2] up my head.
4: To the LORD I cry aloud, and he answers me from his holy hill. Selah
5: I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me.
6: I will not fear the tens of thousands drawn up against me on every side.
7: Arise, O LORD! Deliver me, O my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked.
8: From the LORD comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people. Selah

Psalm 134

1: Psalm 134 A song of ascents.
1: Praise the LORD, all you servants of the LORD who minister by night in the house of the LORD.
2: Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the LORD.
3: May the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth, bless you from Zion.

Psalm 130

1: Psalm 130 A song of ascents.
1: Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD;
2: O Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.
3: If you, O LORD, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand?
4: But with you there is forgiveness; therefore you are feared.
5: I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope.
6: My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning.
7: O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption.
8: He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins.

Psalm 114

1: Psalm 114
1: When Israel came out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of foreign tongue,
2: Judah became God's sanctuary, Israel his dominion.
3: The sea looked and fled, the Jordan turned back;
4: the mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs.
5: Why was it, O sea, that you fled, O Jordan, that you turned back,
6: you mountains, that you skipped like rams, you hills, like lambs?
7: Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob,
8: who turned the rock into a pool, the hard rock into springs of water.

Psalm 130

Psalm 58

1: Psalm 58 For the director of music. [To the tune of] "Do Not Destroy." Of David. A miktam.
1: Do you rulers indeed speak justly? Do you judge uprightly among men?
2: No, in your heart you devise injustice, and your hands mete out violence on the earth.
3: Even from birth the wicked go astray; from the womb they are wayward and speak lies.
4: Their venom is like the venom of a snake, like that of a cobra that has stopped its ears,
5: that will not heed the tune of the charmer, however skillful the enchanter may be.
6: Break the teeth in their mouths, O God; tear out, O LORD, the fangs of the lions!
7: Let them vanish like water that flows away; when they draw the bow, let their arrows be blunted.
8: Like a slug melting away as it moves along, like a stillborn child, may they not see the sun.
9: Before your pots can feel [the heat of] the thorns-- whether they be green or dry--the wicked will be swept away. ^[2]
10: The righteous will be glad when they are avenged, when they bathe their feet in the blood of the wicked.
11: Then men will say, "Surely the righteous still are rewarded; surely there is a God who judges the earth."
