Guru Maharaji speaks on Biafra, Boko Haram and anti-social media bill

Remember Guru Maharaji?
He is the founder of the One Love Family Sect and yes, he has a message for pro-Biafra agitators.
Sat guru on Christmas day, Friday, December 25 cautioned the people clamoring for the secession of the Biafran state from Nigeria to desist from acts that can rip national unity to shreds.
He made this statement at a press conference in celebration of his 68th birthday in Ibadan.
He said that Nigerians must learn from the current insurgency in the North East Zone which had resulted in loss of lives and property.
The religious leader stated that the issue of Biafra had died since 1968 and urged Nigerians to pray for the country instead of threatening its unity.
He further urged all ethnic and religious groups to join hands in tackling the security challenges facing the nation.
“The issue of bad roads and infrastructural decay in the country were responsible for this agitation and it needs urgent attention to avoid another Boko Haram insurgency in the country.
“Igbo traditional rulers should be invited in finding a solution to this issue of Biafra.
“The country is right now fully in control of its security situation and the issue of Biafra should urgently be attended to before it escalates to what we do not expect,” Mahaji ji said.
He also revealed his rejection of the infamous Social Media Bill stating that the media platforms available to citizens give them the opportunity to question their leaders.
He however supports President Buhari’s fight against corruption noting that accelerated hearings in corruption cases would help in the anti-graft war.
