SCREENING OF CANDIDATE FOR 2016/2017 ACADEMIC SESSION
In compliance with the directive of the Honourable Minister of Education and in concurrence with NUC and JAMB that there should be no post UTME examination admission exercises in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions, Abia State University hereby invites all UTME candidates seeking admission into the institution to capture the relevant information on admission requirements for screening exercise on-line from 23rd June to 22nd July 2016.
The University will also consider all Direct Entry and UTME candidates who did not use ABSU as their choice and are interested in gaining admission into Abia State University.
Note that all candidates must score 180 and above in the last UTME.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Eligible candidates should proceed to any designated banks of their choice and obtain a scratch card
(a) Proceed to any cyber café for registration.
(b) Log on to ABSU Portal: www.absu.edu.ng and complete the
(c) Finally, confirm your entry and print a copy of the Form as evidence of your registration.
ELIGIBILITY
ABSU will admit only candidates who made at least five (5) credit passes including ENGLISH LANGUAGE in SSCE/NECO/NABTEB in the relevant subjects at not more than two sittings, a minimum of UPPER CREDIT for direct entry candidate and one sitting for Medicine and Surgery.
It is compulsory for all candidates to participate in the screening exercise to enable the University capture all relevant entry requirements for the admission exercise.
