According to popular Gambian TV GRTS Live,former Gambian president and rebel Jammeh is begging to stay at his hometown Kanilai as ECOWAS troops storm Gambia.However,the request is rejected.Below is what GRTS Live wrote
'ECOWAS troops are not near Banjul yet. We have information that the Guinean & Mauritanian Presidents are working behind the scene to help secure a peaceful exit for the cornered rebel leader & ex-president #Yahya Jammeh. His request to stay in his home village of Kanilai has been denied.
