1 Praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord, my soul.

2 I will praise the Lord all my life;
    I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
3 Do not put your trust in princes,
    in human beings, who cannot save.
4 When their spirit departs, they return to the ground;
    on that very day their plans come to nothing.
5 Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob,
    whose hope is in the Lord their God.

6 He is the Maker of heaven and earth,
    the sea, and everything in them—
    he remains faithful forever.
7 He upholds the cause of the oppressed
    and gives food to the hungry.
The Lord sets prisoners free,
8     the Lord gives sight to the blind,
the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down,
    the Lord loves the righteous.
9 The Lord watches over the foreigner
    and sustains the fatherless and the widow,
    but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.

10 The Lord reigns forever,
    your God, O Zion, for all generations.

3 They make their tongues as sharp as a serpent’s;

4 Keep me safe, Lord, from the hands of the wicked;
    protect me from the violent,
    who devise ways to trip my feet.
5 The arrogant have hidden a snare for me;
    they have spread out the cords of their net
    and have set traps for me along my path.

6 I say to the Lord, “You are my God.”
    Hear, Lord, my cry for mercy.
7 Sovereign Lord, my strong deliverer,
    you shield my head in the day of battle.
8 Do not grant the wicked their desires, Lord;

12 I know that the Lord secures justice for the poor

A thankful heart is always a dependent heart. What do you normally do when things in life get difficult? Where do you run, to whom or what do you turn to? Thanksgiving unto the Lord is the antidote to our troubled heart. When we give thanks, He quickly responds to our demand.

Thankfulness is a call to a different perspective, a different way of looking at life and at the challenges life is throwing at us right now. Praising the Lord is one of the best way to attract God's presence and attention. He alone satisfies our hunger, refreshes our soul, encourages our heart and leads us with good things of life.

Beloved, may you be challenged to always give thanks to the Lord this season. Thank Him at all time and see a great turn around in your life. It is well with your soul. Amen
