Jose Mourinho has been sacked as Manchester United manager after a dismal run of results in the Premier League which had left the 20-time champions in a mid-table position.
Mourinho’s position had long been a source of much speculation but the 3-1 loss to arch rivals Liverpool at Anfield on the weekend has proved to be the final straw.
