Now, Saidu is getting the needed medical attention as the wife of the governor has taken up the provision of her needs, and promises to do more.

"We unveil one of our developmental and humanitarian activities with the case of an orphan Maryam Saidu. Maryam Saidu is an 18 year old girl born with a rare skin disease, which kept growing as she aged.

Maryam's mom died while giving birth to her and her father also followed not long after the mothers death, hence the transfer of her care to relatives who did their best to put her through primary and secondary schools, but could not afford to treat her medical condition because it is expensive.

Maryam's case worsened as the disease was advancing into a cancer stage, this prompted a relative to contact her Excellency Hajiya Maryam Mairo Aminu Waziri for intervention via the interactive forum !!

Her Excellency immediately ordered her aides to take over Maryam's case and facilitate her immediate treatment at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University teaching hospital Sokoto.

As we speak Maryam has already undergone the first stage of her surgery and is presently recuperating at the hospital. We solicit prayers for her speedy recovery and successful surgeries she still has to undergo."

Now, here's one woman with a heart of gold!
