SARAKI'S HOUNDING BETWEEN 3 COURTS IN DAYS THIS WEEK IS CONCLUSIVE EVIDENCE OF PERSECUTION - KWARA SPEAKER.

The Speaker, Kwara. State House of Assembly, Dr. Ali Ahmed says the last one and half years of Dr Bukola Saraki as the nation's Senate President have been characterized by one form of court case or the other thereby distracting him from carrying out the enormous responsibility attached to the exalted office.

Dr. Ahmad made this observation in Ilorin in his welcome address at the resumption of sitting by the legislators

Dr Ahmed said the legislators as advocates of anti-corruption whose stance on the eradication of the menace in the nation remains unwavering, perpetrators of the act according to him should be brought to the book in accordance with the laid down procedure, insisting that, anything outside this was"fighting corruption with corruption".

He observed with displeasure that the nation was currently bedevilled with pyramids of economic challenges and enjoined the Federal Government to exert all energies towards addressing the ongoing round tripping in forex market rather than chasing shadows.

The Speaker, explained that the current government owes the electorate the duty of providing basic infrastructure and above all food at affordable cost, saying that the continuous persecution of the Senate President on allegations that are not substantiated or which so called investigations are still ongoing, was distracting.

He said no further evidence of  persecution is required when no 3 citizen of a nation is hounded back to back for 3 days between one court or the other. but like in all situations the truth shall ultimately prevail.
