Oluwo of Iwoland, HRM Oba Abdulrosheed Adewlae Akanbi is set to train interested female cab drivers in Iwo and its environment in commercial driving as part of his commitment to alleviate poverty and proliferates people's sources of income.

He made the disclosure recently at his palace while receiving delegates of Queens Riders Association, Ibadan.

Oba Akanbi said the situation of the country calls for symbiotic responsibilities between husband and wife in discharging their obligations to their children and wards. He therefore pledged his support to actualize the training in a jiffy.

"I`m more than interested in the training, the situation of the country calls for mutual responsibilities between husband and wife mostly towards the educational promotion of their children. The man should be responsible financially but sometimes, the woman can complement. And complementing is only possible when you are engaged, either in skilled or unskilled labour" said Oluwo.

The coordinator of the Queens Riders, Comrade Deborah Omosola Hammed popularly addressed as "First Lady"disclosed his choice of Iwo was navigated by the qualitative and compassionate leadership style of Oluwo in promoting his people through various categories of empowerment.

She lamented the recession in the country as disgusting, pointing it requires the financial responsibilities of the husband and wife in upbringing their children. She disclosed their readiness to train interested female drivers for free and subsequently facilitate the procurement of the cab on loan and place on instalmental payment. She noted the need for all females to seize the opportunity to liberate themselves from the financial crisis.

"Our choice of Iwo was because of the hospitality and compassionate leadership style of Oluwo to revive the hope of the seemingly hopeless females. We want them to know there is hope for them in complementing their husbands in their children education. Wives are not left to the kitchen; we also work to reduce our husbands` burden in payment of school fees and clothing" said Mrs. Omosola.

The palace has launched awareness for interested females within and outside Iwo while the training modulus operandi shall be unveiled on Tuesday 21st February, 2017 at Oluwo's palace by 10am.
