Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi wants his assistant Daniel Amokachi sacked,according an insiders of Nigeria Football Federation.
Daniel Amokachi was a standby coach during Super Eagles last two friendly matches.The Nigerian national team lost one of the matches(against Uganda) at Akwa Ibom International stadium(said to be one of the best stadiums in Africa) and were held to 1-1 draw by the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
It was revealed that Daniel Amokachi confided to one of the NFF officials that Stephen Keshi selected the players that played the friendly matches.The development however got Keshi annoyed that he wants his assistant relieve of his duty.
According to the NFF official,Keshi wants Amokachi to be replaced with Togolese Valerie Hounandinou who was sacked by NFF in 2013.
Keshi and Amokachi had a cordial relationship when they led the Eagles to lift the AFCON some years back but the relationship between the two seems to have deteriorated.
