Governor Yahaya Bello Donates RAMADAN Gift To The Physically Challenged People
Earlier today, The Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello Donates RAMADAN gift to people living with disabilities in lokoja, Kogi State. The gift which includes, bags of rice, beans, millet, cows, and money were evenly and adequately distributed to the physically challenged people of the State present at the occasion.
Governor Yahaya Bello who was ably represented by his Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alh. (Engr) Abubakar Ohere, presented the gift items to them and promised to make it a point of duty to have a routine visits not just during the Ramadan period but at every interval because they're part of us and so they should be treated.
Alhaji Ohere while addressing the people living with disabilities said, today is indeed a historic day in the lives of the physically challenged persons in Kogi State as they're greeted with the flood of new Direction government. He said the government of the day bears the name 'New Direction' simply because of their will to sway from the usual ways of running the affairs of government which obviously does not benefit the lives of the common people.
The Kogi State chapter President of the Association of People Living With Disabilities (APLWDs), Mall. Amodu Hassan while pouring in their happiness thanked the Governor for his kind gesture for remembering them with such a huge package at a time they least expected due to bad state of the country's economy. He prayed earnestly for God's blessings, protection and manifold achievements for our dear Governor. He further pleaded for more attention of the digital Governor to their plight especially in areas of empowerment and employment as they're very much ready to work in whichever capacity they're deemed fit to ensure he delivers satisfactorily.
In a show of appreciation, the Lokoja Local Government Administrator felicitate with the people of Lokoja Local Government particularly the physically challenged for the onerous package received from His Excellency and further expressed his profound gratitude to God Almighty who has at this point in time decided to bless Kogi State with Alhaji Yahaya Bello. He said they're very much overwhelmed with the felicific relief items received and pray that May God Almighty reward the people's Governor immensely.
Alhaji Yahaya Bello while responding through his representative, Alh. Abubakar Ohere assured the Association of His Excellency's commitment to their plight and as a result, they've been adequately taken care of in the recently unveiled "New Direction Blueprint" and will ensure it sees the light of the day so that most of their challenges including the ones they could not establish can be considered as they're part of the society that require utmost attention. He said all the challenges they've enumerated are well noted and they shall be communicated to His Excellency by God's grace.
