Below are the steps involved in meta tag insertion into a website be it a hosted or free domain.
1. Log into your blogger ,wordpress or website account with your email address.
2.Scroll down to template and click on it.
3. Then click on edit html.
4.Simultaneously click ctrl and F
5.Paste <head> into the box that appeared after clicking ctrl and F and then click enter.You will see <head> in the template.
6.Immediately below the <head> tag,paste
<meta content='Blog Description Here' name='description'>
<meta content='KEYWORDS SEPARATED BY COMMA HERE' name='keywords'/>
<meta content='AUTHOR NAME HERE' name='Author'/>
<meta content='revisit hour' name='revisit-after'/>
<meta content='index, follow' name='robots'/>
7.Click preview template and allow it to load.If it loads successfully,click save.
After saving,you can visit http://www.seocentro.com/tools/search-engines/metatag-analyzer.html and assess the meta tag you generated.
