According to Prince Gwamnishu Harrison,the
CEO of Behind Bars Initiative,the 17-year-old lady(Ogechukwu) pictured below is currently being detained in A Division,Asaba state for allegedly stealing.She has been in detention for five days now and was refused bail.
Her staying in police cell for the past five days was due to N15,000 bail she couldn't provide.According to Harrison,the IPO (Corporal Ama Okereke) whose picture appears below threatened to charge her to court.Harrison said her continued detention is barbaric, inhumane and abuse of her Fundamental Human Rights by Corporal Ama Okereke.
