The presidential hopeful and flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alh. Atiku Abubarkar has picked the former governor of Anambra state, Dr. Peter Obi as his running mate in the forthcoming general election come 2019.
Atiku insisted on picking a younger running mate, who must also have deep knowledge of the economy and leardership.
The choice of Peter Obi as running mate is believed to have helped Atiku neutralise the 'neorthern zones’ delegates’ votes that went to Sokoto State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, during the presidential primary on Saturday.
