A 32 year old woman of Misisi compound has allegedly stabbed her husband to death using a knife in their one room apartment after a fight. The wife gained access to hubby’s phone and went straight to WhatsApp where she found chat messages from girls.The hubby also exchanged pictures with them. This angered the wife.It made her stab her hubby dead. Police have warned women to avoid intruding on their husbands’s privacy as a way of preventing crimes.
Police have arrested the woman.Acting police spokesperson Danny Mwale told the media that the incident occurred this morning at 02:00 hours in Misisi compound in Lusaka in which George Chavula aged 45 of unmarked house number Misisi compound was stabbed twice on his back with a kitchen knife by his wife Grace Chanda, aged 32 of the same address.
Mwale said the victim died a few minutes later.
“This occurred during a fight inside their one roomed house and the suspect also had two teeth extracted during the fight as fits are alleged to have been used by the deceased,” Mwale said.
“The matter was reported to police by a neighbour who was awakened by the accused so that she can be assisted to look for a taxi to rush her husband to the hospital before he died.”
He said the body of the deceased is in the University Teaching Hospital ( UTH ) Mortuary awaiting postmortem.
