Bauchi State Police Command Arrest Kidnappers While Collecting Ransom(Photos)

Against the back drop of security situation in the Country,Bauchi State and the ember months which are known with increase crime wave in particular, efforts to ensure that crime wave in the state is considerably reduced have been stepped up from 14th October, 2016 to date. In order to ensure protection of lives and property within the state, the command has intensified a 24hours round the clock patrol, Raids of identified black spots and flash points with a view to effectively check crime rate in the state, and this has recorded some remarkable successes as follows:-
ARREST OF KIDNAPPING/HOMICIDE SUSPECT: On the 17/11/2016 at about 1830hrs, Police detectives attached to command Anti-kidnapping unit (AKU) carried out operations at Liman Katagum forest, arrested one Mohammed Ibrahim male and 25yrs of Tafawa Balewa at the point of collecting ransom from a victim one Abdu Mamman Male and 30yrs of Gansa village Toro LGA. same suspects had on 11/11/2016 at about 00:30hrs stormed Ganjuwa village via Soro, Ganjuwa LGA and shot dead the father of the victim one Muhammadu Maman male and 75years who resisted to be kidnapped thereafter called deceased family and demanded for the sum one million Naira. Following exhibits were recovered:
One Bajaj Motorcycle
One Handset used for ransom negotiation
 Suspect voluntarily confessed to the crime and cooperating with police in the investigation
    Meanwhile, the command also recorded the following achievement during the period under review as follows:
RECOVERED ARMS AND AMMUNITION:
One Revolver gun with AK47 ammunition capability
One Single Barrelled gun
One locally made Single Barrel
Three Dane guns
Cutlass, Bows and Arrow
NO OF MOTOR VEHICLES RECOVERED:
Two Motor Vehicles with Reg. No AA 416 TFB and Reg. No AH 82 KTG used in conveying stolen domestic animals.
NO OF MOTORCYCLES RECOVERED:
Seven (7) Motorcycles used by the suspected kidnappers
RECOVERED DOMESTIC ANIMALS:
Two Sheep and Four Goat
MONETARY/OTHER EXHIBITS RECOVERED:
Cash in sum of Three Thousand and Fifty Naira only (#3,050).
Eight (8) Handsets used by the suspected kidnappers to negotiate ransom.
However, the command had rescued Fouteen (14) hostages
 including a 64years old Hajiya Hadija  Aminu who was kidnapped at Tibako village Ganjuwa LGA, arrested Twenty Two (22) Suspects comprising of Thirteen (13) suspected kidnappers that have been terrorising Ganjuwa, Toro, T/Balewa and Warji LGAs of Bauchi. One (1) Armed Robbery suspect whose syndicate specializes in Snatching Motor Vehicles at gun point. Eight (8) Suspected man syndicate who specializes in stealing domestic animals and their receivers within Bauchi metropolis. The syndicate modus operandi involves the use of two Vectra motor vehicles to load the stolen animals and convey to their receivers who will immediately slaughter the animal for sale etc. Investigation is in progress after which suspects would charge to Court for prosecution.
 The Command also use this medium to warn emphatically that it is fully prepared and battle ready to ensure that all law abiding citizens enjoy the ember months peacefully. Group or individuals desiring to truncate this intention are warned to desist as any breach to public peace will be dealt with severely.
